Would we then not end up with Gray, Bergvall, Sarr and Mainoo (and Bentancur) all best suited to playing 8, so some having to play in secondary positions of DM and 10? It kind of exacerbates our current imbalance.

Hmm you know he's more of an AM than a CM though? He would add to the collection of AMs we already have in Simon's, Kulu and Maddison. I'm not sure that really a priority signing right now.

Yes you can someone will always have to miss out &.then that can cause disharmony in the squad.

He is currently unhappy because he wants game time we can't guarantee him that. I am sure someone will pay utd ridiculous money & promise him first team football but it shouldn't be us

Yeah, you obviously still need a buyer for that equation to happen.

I think many of us have cited the lack of outgoing transfer fees to rebuild our transfer kitty over the years when compared to other clubs.

Both Palace and Villa are interested in Johnson (reports the Palace deal is done in principle), won't be less than 35M

It will be a good sign if we pull in say £50m from Johnson and Dragusin quite early doors this window, and use that to fund a LW and LB.

Don't think Dragusin goes yet, still suspect either 3 atb or VDV at LB is something we are thinking about with right depth.

Obviously Biss could go, still supposed interest in Turkey for him.

The wildcard is would you sell Sarr (especially if we have another CM come in)?
