Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Would depend on a lot of things. If things have totally gone to pieces, and players cleary have turned their back to Ange, it would be different.
It's a really tricky one. And quite possible.
Even if the players are on side, the risk of getting pulled in relegation battle is huge, and we don't have a squad of fighters.
The league is so tight this year, quite a few teams will be nervous about those two relegation spots above Soton

It make me so angry that Ange didn’t go with Lankshear
The ball retention last week was fudging horrendous
Sonny has never been a striker. He was a word class counter attacking forward but he ain’t learning to control a ball better At his age
It was grim and exposed all his bad points whilst we had a lad on the bench who can play CF. He played him away in Turkey in the most hostile place to play and he scored and also hurt their players (literally)
Weak management
I can understand not starting him. But when you need a change, put him in for 30 mins - ask the opposition different questions. I guarantee no-one has prepared how to play against him

We dont know the contract clauses in Son's contract. Modern footballing contracts are an area I am wary of.

Form table https://thefishy.co.uk/formtable.php?table=1
Points from Last 6 Matches

11 ARS FUL
10 BRE BOU
9 CRY NOT
8 MNU NEW WOL BRI
7 *TOT* WHU
6 EVE MNC
5 IPS AST

So 'comparable' teams like MNU NEW MNC AST are not doing too favourably either.
I suggest we sign Unai Emery as the answer to our woes
Or Eddie Howe?

Obviously our next opponents Cheatski are top with 14 points, level with Liverpool

I rate Emery a lot higher than Ange myself.

Not sure why you choose the last six games as a snapshot; the season has been over 14 games so far and we’re 10th. We’ve also just come through one of our more favourable runs of games.

Well Emery just scrapped and scraped his way to a 1-0 home win against the league's worst team. As Southampton chased the game, Villa had about 10 attacks where they should score, and failed every single time. Sounds familiar.

Howe just lost 4-2 at Brentford.
Pep just scraped to a 2-2 at Palace.

The Prem League is really tough this year.

I think Lankshear has all the promise to become a very good player at PL level. But I would say that even though he is clearly a strong player I do think he has been bullied quite a bit by the CBs he has been up against when he has started. Coping with that will come with experience but maybe starting PL games is not right for him just yet.
Having said that we definitely needed a focal point on Thursday and I think Ange ought to have gambled by bringing him on for the last 30 or even 20 minutes.

Wasn’t it the fudging run around a bit 1-0 over Liverpool?

Edit.

We were both wrong. It was a 2-0 at home to Bolton.

After he took over we went on to have 12 clean sheets in the league. A huge turnaround defensively.

Not so clear mate.
Redknapp's first proper game in charge was the Goons away. Remember it like crystal.
He was in place tor Bolton but too late to actually do anything significant. At the time tje midweek derby was considered his first game in charge as I recall. Here's a wikipedia entry about it...anyway, your greater point re:defence getting better over the season.

<>Redknapp was unveiled as Tottenham manager the same day before the home match against Bolton Wanderers and gave the team talk, although the team itself was selected by Clive Allen and Alex Inglethorpe>>

He has started two games IIRC and scored in one
Against decent opposition even if people think they are brick teams
Son is the easiest CF to make around because he literally runs away from any contact

And Amorim's MNU just conceded in the second minute, from a corner. Defender doesn't even jump. Do MNU not train set pieces? Shambles. Amorim out.

Can’t imagine it’s really fair to compare until he’s been there 18 months. I think he’s been there, what, a fortnight?

Teams concede form corners
Even Arsenal do
It’s a valid way of attacking
Some teams have it as their main weapon which I think is mad after 5 years but if it mean they stay 2nd …
