Vincent Janssen

Are you on about the header that was stopped on the line?

Llorente has scored 1 important goal that I can remember... a header off his thigh
If you mean the one he directed into the ground rather than towards the goal - then yes. I know you seem to negate any contribution Llorente has made but he has scored in several cup games including the semi against Chelsea. I am yet to see anything positive from Janssen. That is why Poch puts llorente on ahead of Janssen.

I’ve seen it said a few times now that he “missed” the header. He didn’t, he really couldn’t have done much more than he did there, he made the keeper make a good save and he put it in about the best place he could.

It was cleared on the line by the defender

The game we lost and didn’t go though in?

I negate his contributions because their is a myth he is an important player rather than an impotent one which he is

Honestly I’m fat and old and could out run him... he is lazy and barely a presence on the pitch. For a player earning good money I expect effort at least

The winner v Watford was fairly important. The 3rd v Dortmund was important in that a 3 goal lead is far less dangerous than a 2 goal lead.

The fella is limited but he scores. Janssen doesn’t as well as he played today.

Janssen has a better goal to game ratio than Llorente in the league

But he hasn’t been given a chance for so long

I’d wager that Jansenn would have more cup goals too given the starts that Llorente had

What I can guarantee is he would have given the CBS more of a problem creating space for others

Those PL scoring stats are skewed by pens. They obviously are still goals but Janssen isn’t more prolific in general play than Llorente in the PL.

I have a really odd feeling that VJ might start against Ajax. His hustle and bustle could unsettle the young Ajax CB’s and Lampost ‘seems’ to do better when used as a sub (ie, when he plays less). And imagine the reaction WHEN VJ scores the first goal 6 minutes in!

PS. I’m stone cold sober

2-0 they had a chance in the second leg, 3-0 is game over.

I agree with you that Janssen is the better player though.

You could argue either way on the 3td goal
I’d say Kanes goal killed the tie

I’d also add that he does have a habit of being effective when teams are chasing games more than be does when they just stand next to him

VJ isn't registered to play in the CL is he?
