How many other managers have mounted a title challange on a sell-to-buy transfer policy? How many managers have achieved two record point hauls at a Club like Liverpool, as well as two European Cup finals, with a net spend of ~ ?ú13m over 6 seasons?

Never really works (going back to an old lover) does it? I think we should all move on. I adore Rafael Benitez but he's consigned to history. Hope this thread is a one off as the last thing Brendan needs is a shadow lurking.

I guess when he says a net spend of ?ú13m over 6 seasons he means ?ú13m PER season ( 6 x 13 = 78 ).

Though actually this website - http://www.transferleague.co.uk/premiership-transfers/liverpool-transfers.html - suggests Rafa's net spend was ?ú106m.
