I would not be surprised to see Williams-Barnett as a sub for England, i don't think the England set up trust players like him. I've only seen him on Spursplay and you don't see enough on video but he appears to me a player you let have his head and England youth prefer players who fit their system. When weather gets a bit better I'm going to see him live as he has a touch of Gazza about him.

I agree, at this moment he looks a very special player...

If we're developing players who have a bit of that unpredictability about them and not just systems players that will be really good for us imo. Moore and Donley have a bit of that about them too imo.

Agreed. Modern players have to work well within a system, but those who can combine that with something extraordinary, that slight maverick touch, those are often the difference makers.

Players you can just give the ball to and they're capable of something special, almost no matter the circumstances. When roles/and positions don't matter as much, just get them the ball. We've had a few of those over the years and for sure we need more in the future too.
