Why do I feel that the whole season rides on tomorrow night and certain progression to the next round of the CL.
Win and signings will happen, lose and Frank is gone.

How about Sadio ManƩ? Great player in his pomp and he still looked pretty decent for Senegal. Getting on a bit now, so probably wouldn't break the bank. Or has he been too long in carpet slippers for a return to the Prem?

I’m actually happy to see how the window finishes before making any final judgements myself, it doesn’t look great though and had Levy been in charge you and others would be absolutely losing your brick right now! Since moving in to the stadium Levy had 1 window with a zero net spend and that was in the peak of Covid. So these guys need to have a decent last week just to match Levy in that regard, considering not spending was a stick to beat him with and a new chairman would clearly do better…

Re the manager, the comparisons to Ange’s time have been done to death, he obviously sacked off the league for Europe in the 2nd half of the season, Frank clearly isn’t and he’s playing ā€œhisā€ best sides for the games available, just failing miserably. If you don’t agree with this assessment it’s fine with me.

My simple point is: whatever is happening now is no different to several previous January windows going back years.
I find it odd that in those previous times there were many preaching patience etc when Levy was at the helm and are totally doing a 180 now he's gone, i.e. having ZERO patience. I'd understand it a bit more if we were in the 2nd or 3rd year post-Levy...

Personally, i believe we are showing the same practices as last year: poor league form, a manager that many would say needed either backing or sacking, plus an injury crisis that brings the squad towards bare-bones levels in some positions.
As i say, i can't believe how anyone can see any major difference to how Spurs are doing things; even compared to last January i can't see much difference (after all, we do have the same owners whether Levy, the previous main figurehead, is here or not).

Let's see how the window pans out, as you say.

I don't know why anyone would be making any real judgements regarding the board on this January window. January is not the best time to bring in players, the ones you really want aren't usually available half way through the season and factor in a fairly high likelihood the board don't think this manager will be in charge for next season there was hardly going to be game changing actions in regards to signings.

The summer window always was going to be the time to truly judge....

Was always going to be the case, partly of their own doing by saying it's all going to be different now and some (majority? Loud minority?) fans have just had enough of ENIC and want change.

Add to the fact we are also in a relegation battle and seemingly haven't done much (yet) isn't helping patience
