Transfer thread

Nah I’m backing levy in making us premier league title winners, champions league etc. not sure what the strategy is or how we are going to achieve this. But in levy I trust. Really looking forward to the chairmans message come the end of the season

That sounds like you need to take more water with your drinking. ;)

Who else if solomon and richarlison go? Kudus can play there. Johnson and kulu on the right.
We are starting to look a little thin though.

Depends on the shuffle i guess.
I kind of agree I don't think the quality is super high but maybe Tel surprises me and I like Odobert but haven't really seen a lot of him yet. I just don't think the club is seriously thinking about buying another LWF, we might even still have Solomon when the windows ends depending on his fitness status.

The thing we have to also remember is how our squad balances out for all the competitions. I've been over it several times and still bamboozle myself. The outgoings and incomings have to be helpful with regard to homegrown. Squad balance alone is why IMO unless Donley has an awful tour, he will be in the squad due to academy and also versatility (he's also really good!) and I have to think Abbott might well stand a shot based on the same standard. I still think we might well go in late for Eze, however I am now onboard with @Gutter Boy 's McAtee pitch. It increasingly makes sense, especially in that 40 range City want...I'd rather him than Mainoo...what odds McAtee and Elliot?????

I like Mainoo too. Alex Scott and Dibling as well if we're going homegrown players with high ceilings.
What is Mainoo though? He burst on the scene a while back with United raving about him but now doesn't seem to have a set position? I dont even know what he's best at. Last season they tried him in a few different positions in their midfield and he couldn't nail a first team role down

A deep sitting playmaker. Someone who receives the ball from the CBs and transitions it quickly and very well. Probably more Bergvall out of all our CMs

Not sure, I think he's a talented player but one of those "not sure the position" he's looked ok in United at times because every alternative in their midfield literally can't run, I think the reason they are willing to sell is he doesn't own a position (think we have a lot of utility players already in midfield)

I believe the answer to this lies in his recent injury history. Missed 17 games through injury last season, and the critical period was Feb-Apr. He managed to get somewhat fit for the final but wasn't at full tilt.

I can't believe Utd would sell him actually.

He looks good for England in a double pivot alongside Rice. He speeds up our transitioning considerably compared to other options there, and does a solid job defensively
