Transfer thread

Would be nice to see some movement in the next day or two....

What do we still need to do?
Vuskovic - loan out
Gill - sell if we can
Solomon - sell if we can
Bissouma - sell
Scarlett - loan
Make a decision on Richalison if he stays or goes

Then bring in at least
A no.10
LB/CB
Striker if Richalison goes.
Given the market and the options that cover ever type of 10, I'm not sure we are even looking at 1

Not replacing Richarlison would be a dereliction of duty in my view. We can't rely on a 'striker' who (a) is almost always injured and (b) can't hit the target even when he's fit.
Love him for his effort & and wind up abilities, but have to reluctantly agree. If only his finishing was better could accept the injuries.

I actually don’t think Solanke is good enough either. We need a top CF and sell one of them.

Thank you...he looks like a he has huge potential but is still a bit raw. I think he'd be a great prospect signing but to step right in right now? Not sure he'd be any more effective than Bergvall, who IMO will get the nod in that position next weekend. But certainly if numbers allow he'd a be a fun squad player to develop into first team this season via cups and rotation.

I think he'll be the one. Paz and Akliouche seem wishful thinking from fans at this point.

Might end up being a good player long-term, but why can't a club who has lucked out by getting CL via an EL win target players who haven't just been relegated?
Surely, there are options to push us on who are better than El Khannouss??

It's like we are still stuck in 2004...

Or he could be a Modric or Alli. Our best signings are rarely our established ones, just the ones who have been well scouted.

He has Prem experience which surely tips the balance...
A seasons experience of producing 2 goals and 3 assists would be carrying a lot of weight. With that sort of experience how could we find anyone better?! I know he was playing for a poor Leicester side but come on....

Or our Gedson Fernandes. Alli was pulling up trees in tier 3, and absolute punt that worked out well: he was not bought with an expectation to play straight away in a top 4/6 team, El Khannouss would.

Similarly, Modric was already a seasoned international and a starter for the top team in Croatia.

I think it's actually unfair on El Khannouss to make such comparisons

I’m all for a potential worldie which we need to buy before they reach that point
I think he would be more effective that Lucas and Lucas can play 8
