I was really impressed with him against us recently, a lot more so than I was expecting. He moved our back line around a lot with his clever movement. I’m not sure he’s a Conte type full back - I.e. a finisher / creator of chances - but he was very good, for my money.

I understand the reticence to spend big on him though, given his serious hamstring injury last season.

I've not really seen much of Spence but aren't there behaviour concerns?

Aarons seems like the Jesse Linguard of fullbacks. The most enduring young player who might make it one day. I think he's too physically lightweight too.

I don't really know about overseas options for this spot - a HG for this position would be ideal if possible, considering our squad balance and lack of HG options in other positions e.g. at CB.

Still hoping Livramento is the RWB option, his form dropped a bit at the end of the season but might just make his price more realistic?

Speaking of the decision to loan Spence, Warnock said during an interview with talkSPORT breakfast show: "I let him go. He needed to sort himself out, really.

"I basically said to him that you can go to the top or you can go non-league.

"I think Steve Cooper is the manager for him, to be honest. He has let him go forward more often, which suits his game."


The few times I've seen him he's been outstanding and from Neil Warnock's comments the freedom to attack has settled him down and obviously Conte would use him the same way.

The French publication believes that stars like Lionel Messi and Neymar have stopped talking to Hakimi. Interestingly, it is being said that the Moroccan ace considers that they play selfishly, which only leads to unexpected defeats.

The news comes amid speculation of a major split in Mauricio Pochettino's locker room with South American players on one side and French-speaking players on the other. The report adds that there were some physical clashes after the recent humiliating 3-0 defeat to Monaco.
