As confirmed by Ornstein he is effectively on loan at Emirates Marketing Project and real madrid will simply take him when benzema leaves in 2-3 years. Been reported in Spain that haaland has a clause in city contract that real madrid can buy him at any moment for a set fee again below market value of €100m.

Haaland has only ever wanted real madrid and vice versa but benzema’s surprise form along with mbappe’s desire to play with him and also the emergence of rodrygo (lets not forget vini junior too) means real madrid and haaland have agreed it would be best for him spend 2-3 years at city before he joins real madrid.

City have agreed all this as otherwise he wouldn’t sign for them.

The €100m has come from reports in Spain but personally I think it is too high and real madrid more likely will just have to pay what Emirates Marketing Project paid bvb as this is just a glorified loan deal.

Also I cant see benzema playing until he is 37 so that means haaland spends two years at Emirates Marketing Project and then he joins real madrid as the heir to benzema, with an already fully integrated killian mbappe.

Reporting in Spain is about as reliable as reporting in Italy when it comes to football. The press there like to make out that their clubs are the most important ones in the World. The reality of the situation is that Haaland has chosen Emirates Marketing Project over the big boys in Spain.

Yep.... That's right. I can remember @AjaxDeSuperYids talking matter of factly last summer about how Haaland was going to Madrid this summer... Guessing it was based on a particular realistic dream he had one night ;)

I genuinely worry about the cognitive dissonance going on here fellow poster - But at least you’ve admitted you were wrong on Haaland’s summer move to Madrid in a roundabout kind of way, well done on owning your mistaken prediction! Hope you didn’t lay everything you had on the move given how certain you were about it.

Few players at Leeds that could be useful.
The Keeper for one, personally think he would take Hugo’s place within a season.

I think some did
Some are just poor players
Harrison done the left covers a hell do another of ground, can create and score as well as do good defensive work

The keeper has looked good but then he has to make a lot of saves

Philips looked great in the championship TBF even before Bielsa

Bamford is a finisher and scored goals in the prem

Rafinha is the interesting one. Potentially a great player who scores and creates but also strikes me as a being a bit flaky and inconsistent which would be a huge worry for the fee they would want

I’d argue the Bielsa system actually hurt some of these players

I may be in a minority but i have never got the hype about Leeds ( since they got back in the Prem) and especially Bielsa.

Doesn’t make players poor but can mean some excel who maybe aren’t that good
