Transfer Rumour Thread

How you can sit on your high horse regarding Redknapp and then want that clown shoe back is beyond me. Berbatov intentionally brick on us from a great height. fudge him basically. Absolute clown shoe.

Because regardless of what I think of Harry personally, he is still a run around a bit manager when it comes to it couldnt spell tactics let alone create them and follow them out. I think the same of Berbatov, but at least he is still a genius of a footballer.

Bearing in mind he's an absolute dunce, I guess he must just keep on fluking all these results?

No fluke at all in Harry's results. He motivates the players brilliantly and that will get him results in some games. When it comes to games that require a bit more thought, we continue to get found out. Let's not turn this into another Harry thread, this is about Berbatov and my decision on wanting him back is based purely on footballing reasons.

I doubt it.

The Spanish are more bothered about speculation than even the British are, and that takes some doing. This is just yet more horsebrick, thrown out there for discussion and to distract their fans attention away from winning fudge all this year. Also, unpaletable story about Messi is currently in the news, so don't dismiss the notion that this is floated out there as a little bit of chaff to bury that news item too.

That is utter hypocrisy. So if a manager/player bricks on us it's OK if he is great, but it's a hanging offence if not?

I could understand your caricature of Harry, were the results absolutely dreadful. But, unfortunately, they're actually some of the best results any single Tottenham manager has ever had. So, that doesn't lend much weight to your argument? In fact, it blows it to smithereens.

i doubt there is any truth in this Bale rumour, Levy isn't daft, he knows that if Barca offer 40 we can get more from City and a bidding war would start

No way will we sell Bale for ?ú32m, if we turned down ?ú40m + for Modric, Bale's price would be massively higher..

Barca trying to get players on the cheap as per usual

What part of the 'lets not turn this into another harry thread' are you failing to grasp ? You have the last word on this, you win. Leave it there.

No Gareth Bale to Barcelona deal - Spurs boss Harry Redknapp

Harry Redknapp has denied Tottenham have agreed a ?ú32m deal with Spanish giants Barcelona for Gareth Bale.
Reports in the Spanish media on Friday suggested the Catalan side were set to pay 40m euros for the Welsh winger, 22.
"I wouldn't think there's a slightest bit of truth in that," said Redknapp. "Not a chance I wouldn't have thought."

The Spurs boss insists the north London club want to keep their best players in order to qualify for the Champions League on a regular basis. "If you don't then where are you going?" said the 65-year-old. "You can forget about Champions League football in the future if you don't keep your best players and add to them, never mind selling them off."
Tottenham will secure a top-four finish by beating Fulham at White Hart Lane in their final game of the Premier League season on Sunday.

Redknapp's side must match fifth-placed Saudi Sportswashing Machine's result at Everton and could still finish third above neighbours Arsenal depending on the outcome of the Gunners' trip to West Brom. "We've got to try and get a win ourselves - that's all we can do," said Redknapp, who added he would not be keeping track of Sunday's other scores.

"If we win we're definitely going to finish fourth at least, so we've got to try and win a difficult game. A draw is no good to us. "We've just got to concentrate on picking up three points. Let's wait and see - it all depends on Sunday."
But Spurs could still miss out on a place in Europe's elite competition if they finish fourth and Chelsea beat Bayern Munich in this year's Champions League final on 19 May.

Redknapp said he would be cheering on the German side in the Munich showpiece should Spurs fail to overhaul Arsenal this weekend. "You'd be a liar if you said otherwise," he conceded. "If we finish third I'll become an even bigger Chelsea fan."

levy won't even consider less than ?ú50M for bale which will rule barca out. he's 22, 3 years left on his contract and would still have plenty of resale value for a new club in 4 or 5 years time
