Transfer Rumour Thread

[h=3]ALAN PARDEW is lining up a swoop for Swansea’s loan sensation Gylfi Sigurdsson.[/h]

The Saudi Sportswashing Machine boss has been tracking the Icelandic star after being impressed by him during the Toon’s 2-0 win on Good Friday.
Sigurdsson, 22, has scored seven goals for the Swans since joining on loan from German outfit Hoffenheim in January and been named Premier League Player of the Month.
Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers wants to sign Sigi permanently but the ?ú8million asking price is more than double the Swans’ record fee of ?ú3.5m.

[h=3]Emirates Marketing Project are close to snapping up Athletic Bilbao hitman Fernando Llorente for ?ú30million.[/h]

Agents for both clubs are understood to be involved and negotiations for a five-year deal for the Spanish striker are at the detailed stage.
Llorente has grabbed 23 goals this season.
But Bilbao, who are struggling to even qualify for a Europa League place next term, are prepared to let their top hitman go.
Llorente, 27, has been eyed by all the Premier League big boys.
But none can go close to the ?ú200,000-a-week wages on offer at City.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is an open admirer of Llorente and Spurs are prepared to pay big transfer fees.
But salaries remain a stumbling block, which is why Spurs are finding it difficult to make Emmanuel Adebayor’s loan move from the Etihad a permanent one.

Well, it opens up possibilities. They won't be able to keep Ade in that case. Or Dzeko, most likely. Cheeky bid?

Or Tevez? Balotelli? That other argentinian fella?
Really, if they buy more quality forwards, they're simply taking the tinkle.

Why would Llorente want to go there and essentially jeopardize his career? He'd be part of some toss-rotation at best

Come to the Lane, son - you'd be well respected and part of a proper team not some mercenaries who enjoy taking 5 month golf-breaks during seaosn only to come back and be sucked off by cuckolds

Well, one can always hope that he has other motives than being filthy rich - I mean, it's not like ?ú80k a week is too little to survive on.

I'd say very few Basque players share this consumerist ideology and part of the reason their club has been only one of 3 (iirc) never to be relegated along with the big 2. Their club ethos is vastly different to other club in Spain let alone Europe

if Modric goes, hopefully it is to City or a european club. Lets not do Man U or Chelsea a favour please Mr Levy

Ok, how would you honestly rate his season so far out of 10?

How many match-winning performances or games where he produced magic to win the game for us can you count? Especially in those were our strikers were mis-firing so we could rely on the midfiled to produce the goods like in most top teams. Isn't that what x1.5 Fabregas should buy you at the very least?
