Is Stamford Bridge a small pitch? It felt like there was no space for our attackers tonight but they before really opened us up either. One goal was always going to make it difficult but instead of it being Winks effort Toby got done in because he’s covering on his wrong side and the shots gone through the keeper. We didn’t ask many questions either but the last 3 games against them have all followed this pattern.

There’s a big Alli shaped hole in the team at the moment, I thought we’d climbed the mountain when Kane was out. Since he’s come back Son has had a couple of average games, perhaps his directness is a hindrance when he’s not playing as the focal point.

Need to look at Saturday as an opportunity to put the daylight between us and Goons. If Alli was back that would be timely boost, Aurier and rose to start too.

Yes
But it’s hardly new for us as we had the smallest pitch before

Totally agree.

We’ve lost all our pressing, quality passing, and also power and control of midfield. Full backs also poor both offensively and defensively.
Keeper is inconsistent.
Subs are all incapable of adding anything off the bench.

Bit of a brick show really.

When we got going in the second part of the first half we were playing 4-2-3-1 and pressing . Came out second half and back to 4-3-3 with no press at all ...

We seem to have lost our style and identity again

Was as bad as Eriksen-sen-sen who were worse than Son
The only attcking player that gave a brick was Kane
Son and lamela ran their arsed off harrying and hustling, lamela was tackling like his usual self so i dont think you can say they two didn't give a brick.
Eriksen was pointing and screaming at someone in the last few minutes, if I'd been on the pitch I'd have fudging done him.

Lamela is part of our problem. Creates very little and plays too predictable

He did have a really good spell leading the press for the last half of the first half but went missing again

Son ran around and was kicked a lot but still... that was woeful

Not saying they were good, saying that they at least cared.

I don’t think anyone tonight didn’t try or didn’t give a brick. Some of them were just tinkle poor and Eriksen was again top of that list.

Sadly the tank is low tonight. Saving my energy to add my positivity and presence at Wembley on Saturday. I felt tonight was poor in many aspects, not the least of which was Eriksen’s power-puff and painfully average performance. His lack of coverage on that first go was symptomatic of his general malaise.

Someone mentioned he made Parker pirrys tonight, and I agree wholeheartedly.

Poch has a job to do.
We have lost conviction, our quality players are going mid-table and since Hazza returned every other has taken a breather. Son has also been neutered. He needs to find the answer to this problem quickly. Obviously Hazza is in, so he needs to find the formula. We miss Alli so much.

The other player we miss big time is Dier. Tonight we needed clams on deck ready to wrestle. Dier is so big in these games, and we also missed Jan big-time.

Finally, as is known here I love Poch unconditionally, but IMO, he needs to learn to have an experienced pro with medals in the squad who can lead by example and drag games and seasons over the line at this moment. Llorente doesn’t quite count. I’d like an old leader: there’s a reason Kompany and Milner continue to be big members of their squads...

I think we need more than one leader..that would be a start but where you going to find this player?

I just think the psychology is wrong with the players. There is no belief instilled into them..lack of confidence!
I suppose that's not completely fair but lack of confidence is there to see with players not performing.
what can you say? so near to challenging for the top and it gets thrown down the plughole.

I was uneasy before Burnley and had a bad feeling about tonight. I’m confident about Saturday, though; I think we’ll do the Goons at Wembley. And we’ll scrape past Dortmund 2-3.

And that’s as positive as you’re going to get tonight.

You find those players by giving them the option to join

It clear that Llorente is nothing more than cover and offers no leadership yet he is our most decorated player domestically

You have players available who have won honours in major leagues but they would be older heads which we dont go for

Right now I think we have 8-9 starters that would get in at most top clubs. Two of those are Eriksen and Alderweireld, but it's more worrying that players like Lamela and Moura who are meant to be challenging and rotating are not cutting it.

were so near ..yet so far...I do believe we have some great players..why oh why don't they believe more in these big games?

Haven't posted on here for some time.

That was plucking shocking, beyond poor. Not a SINGLE shot on target and gifted them two goals. Embarrassing.

League title, not a chance and now lookjng nervously over shoulder.

It really is moments like this where I genuinely winder how this lot will end up. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Poch and some walk away this summer.

But the again, what do we have to do to bring any kind of success to this club?

Number of major honours since Premier League began.

Man Utd - 24
Chelsea - 18
Arsenal - 12
Emirates Marketing Project - 8
Liverpool - 8
Leicester City - 3
Tottenham- 2
Aston Villa - 2

There's many things we do at Tottenham, but winning trophies isn't one of them.

Will realise in the morning that the above is a knee jerk, but Christ I have every right to he FUMING after that tonight, awful, just awful.

Every player has bad spells and i will still support them, but can't support someone who doesn't try, and to me eyes eriksen isn't trying.
At least twice tonight he let a player just waltz right by him. There was no attempt to block, Harry, tackle or even track him after the player was past him. That is not acceptable to me.

That table doesn’t make good reading, does it?

Thank for cheering me up! :D

I think they do... hence why we turned it on second half vs Dortmund

But teams do have bad spells and it’s how you deal with them

We haven’t lost back the back game every often at all but we havent exactly had 2 easy games have we.

If have backed arsenal big time vs Southampton and Bournemouth at home

I wouldn’t have backed us to the same level at all in our last two gAmes as they were much tougher games

Wasn’t he standing at the near post and therefore blocking it?
If it went inside of his left side then I’d agree but it didn’t

Hahahahaha, post-match frustrations boiling here ;-). I think he should've fudging saved the thing. He was on his near-post, the shot went near post, his legs were open like a warm inviting night on there Seine, he needs to do better for me!!! if you disagree, I absolutely get it mate.
