I'd have put Verts there But I guess Poch wanted to get it wide to Verts, so his good delivery could be used, but we rarely managed to do that. Just once iirc, and it was a good chance from it.

True, but it really wasn't worth the chaos in central midfield, imo. Rose is good at one thing, and one thing only - burning down the left. Even his delivery is 50-50 - so putting him in central midfield was a near-disaster that we only averted through a lot of luck.

Moments where we the better team - most of the first half. After we equalised we tired, lost composure and shape with all the sub and Llorente on.

Sissoko was close to scoring twice. Trippier lacked composure to pick out attackers, and the team lacked composure. This side doesn't do well under pressure. Think Poch needs to get them to focus on the game not the occasion or its importance. A bit more composure and focus (and midfield) and we would have won. Time for the Poch and the team to re-group.

Wtf has happened to us? We are dreadful at the moment.
I honestly think this run has highlighted how much Dele and to a slightly lesser extent Dier mean to us. Dele links the top end of the pitch and worries defenders more than anyone else, that gives Eriksen a little more time. And Dier has I believe a calming influence and brings a bit of steel that’s needed and he has the occasional killer ball in him

Sanchez today, Jesus Christ.

He missed the key header to gift them the goal in the first half.

Then when we get back into it, in the last minute, he gifts them a penalty!!!

Is he some sort of secret agent?

Crazy play, really awful bungling ham-fisted play

So obvious that you don't challenge like that, in the last minute, in the box, vs Aubameyang

What was he doing today? Awful

So tinkled off with today's game.

@milo Sissoko

Great to see Wanyama back. He could grow in confidence and be massive for us in the run in.
Eriksen just looks tired out. Needs a few weeks off. He's no good defensively - jogs around in potentially dangerous openings, partly becuase he's tired out.

We are lacking in midfield. Poch needs to get that midfield unit ticking over. Confident, moving the ball around. We do miss Dembele. After we equalised no one wanted the ball, we could barely pass it at all.

That has got to be one of the most disgraceful referee performances I have seen in my 27 years of watching football. It’s hard to get any kind of momemtum when you don’t get obvious fouls and the opposing team time wastes about 20 of 90 mins of the game.
They literally got every single call their way including that ridiculous penalty.
Considering the above, I’ll take a draw.

Literally every commentator, even the Goon ones, agreed that it wasn't a penalty - right after it was awarded.

It wasn't some 50:50 thing - it was 100% *not* a penalty.

Yeah, Sanchez is shaky right now, and I'm not sure why. But that pen stuff is just unfair, imo. Anthony Taylor, secret Gooner, was trying his hardest to even it up after giving us a pen, and took the first chance he got.
