No creativity, no movement apart from Soldado.
We have absolutely no need for Capoue today.

in what ****ing world was that not a penalty
Also, is Walker cramping Townsend's style a bit? Seems to be either too close or beyond him, also his passing is not up to scratch today.
Playing fairly well but not finishing the chances, Paulinho guilty of average finishing and speculative shots wasting possession, moving very well with the ball though.
It is incredible isn't it? I don't want to bash players in an OMT, especially ones that aren't playing but his movement is excellent, he knows when he's offside and actually bothers following up after someone takes a long shot. I'd almost forgotten what that was like.
NBC's half time analysis accompanied by dramatic music. They don't do things by halves do the Yanks.
Is this sarcasm?
Only the finest half-time soundtrack for Taaatnaaam
Don't see why it would be. It may not have resulted in goals but under AVB, I don't think we've ever been as good at home against a lesser team. I'm so happy because it seems that the problem from last season, that the football would be terrible and we couldn't control a game against a lesser placed team at home, seems to have gone.
We never once sustained a performance like that for an entire half against a lesser team last season. I'm so glad we look like we will be able to this season. We will be fine without Bale. Chadli and Townsend are good squad options, but I think we need world class players in those positions and we will be set. Also, maybe a left back and a Defoe replacement.
But that said, Rose, Townsend and Chadli have all done a great job today. Our movement is excellent. The shape looks fantastic. This is the Paulinho that looks like he is worth 17M too. He actually has a lot of skill in tight spaces and a burst of acceleration which I didn't expect. Capoue too has a passing range that is lovely to see.
Basically we look a lot like how Liverpool are playing but better defensively.
Anyway we have the makings of a good team and there's definitely a lot to be excited about (providing we make the right signings). Regarding todays game? i think we're going to lose to a sucker punch goal (probably set piece).
no not a bit...A LOT. The guy doesn't know when to pass, he doesn't know when to make a run and create space, his decision making is diabolical. Townsend has made some very smart runs but Walker doesn't see it (and when he does he delivers a ****e ball) When Townsend goes inside Walker rarely overlaps on the outside (the one time he did we looked very dangerous). It's so frustrating to watch.

O/T: So Kompany is out for Emirates Marketing Project and they had to play midfielder Javi Garcia at centre back. Seems like a thin squad, what happened?
Paulinho is our best player so far. Shame he couldn't score.
