***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Swansea City OMT ***

Yes and all these quality players will just be queueing up to join us in Jan. we look like such a vibrant exciting side to play for under Poch. A side really going places. Yes I bet they cant wait to join us.

Seems to have convinced Frances number 1..

In spite of all the complaining on the board we seem to have won. We really do have the most negative fans in the prem.

I'm welcoming you all to the positive side for anyone who wants to hop on board. We're the side that knows it will take Poch some time to have us playing like we all want. The side that knows it's all gonna be ok.

Really, give me one ****ing reason Lamela came out in 2nd half?

Why didn't we bring on Chadli earlier and shift Eriksen into the middle?

Why did we not get Kane more central and get the ball to him in the air (obvious Swansea are **** in the air)?

Make no mistake, Poch settled for a point and his players (Eriksen/Kane) didn't get the message.

we won, lighten up you boring old ****.

By the way, outstanding ball by Davies to find Eriksen for the winner, pin point.

Davies played really well from what I saw (missed most of the first half). Was one of the few players who looked comfortable - no doubt playing in his old manner helped.

I'm over the moon we won, but am not blind to the fact that we are playing awful football at the moment. This coupled with some frankly baffling decisions by the manager has me (and obviously other posters) worried.

We won, completely on the back of two players ... and yes very happy, just not happy that we have to mug a mid table side to do it ..

Pretty sure Swansea only troubled Lloris a handful of times at the most, not really a mugging is it? We used to have 20+ shots a game under AVB but if you don't trouble the keeper whats the point?

the changes he made resulted in Eriksen getting more time on the ball in the middle of the park

I think Eriksen got fed up with playing out wide and decided to play central regardless for the last ten minutes.
Dembele was a strange choice for the #10 (not that he couldn't play there). I wonder when did Poch decide he was a #10?

Stambouli was a good sub, he broke up play numerous times, we missed that. I'd start him midweek.

You say its rubbish but for 30mins in the second half we were under pressure and didnt crack. I admit at times it was rocky but again we have stood up and shown character.

Yeah we did not fold which is something the main cause for concern for me is the two useless guys in the middle of defence, not sure what has happened to verts but he has regressed massively.

We're just a much better team without Lamela and Soldado. Lamela was laughable today. Thought Walker was great though and really started attacking well towards the end. Great to have him back.

Papering over the cracks. I see the bigger picture this season then being blinded by not one, not two, not three, but four late winners. As a footballing unit we are not improving one bit week in week out. We are awful, just as we were under AVB, and these late winners are coming "despite" Poch and not because of him.

Nah man.

The win wasn't all down to Poch, but the move that lead to the goal was down to us pressing as far down the pitch as possible, with our superior fitness allowing us to press with intensity and forcing tired Swansea into mistakes. We benefited because that's the approach we take.

Was it a great performance? Hell no, not by any means. But people need to wake up and realise the days of there being really easy games in the Premier League are over. These last few years of new TV money and rich owners have meant that right down to the bottom of the league, every single team has a player or players that can hurt you. The improvement in coaching means that every team will be well prepared in modern methods and able to shut us down.

We rode our luck at times, as is our right as a football team to do so. We have largely better players than Swansea, who were able to take their chances. That's what being the bigger team with the bigger budget gets you. But people really have to be patient when watching us. Not every game is going to be easy, nor does it have to look like it for it to mean the coaches are doing a good job. We went to a ground that has seen the home team barely lose this season, and who have deservedly beaten Arsenal, and we won. The extra work we are putting in with regards to fitness is clearly benefiting us in matches.

Take the ****ing win.

we had no midfield. wasnt a surprise that when steel was added, we ended stronger.

yep and it is like under avb when bale bailed us out then when he left we did not get results, now we are getting an awful lot of luck and looking very shaky at the back. I would prefer us to actually look like we were improving even if results were indifferent.

I wish I was blessed with your footballing knowledge and foresight. All I make from that is 12 points gained rather than 4....

Was noticeable he played there on Thurs too ( and first half was pretty good, 2nd half not so)

Maybe just trying to find a position for him?

Edit: Dembele

An away win at one of the toughest grounds in the league, sealed with a quality strike at a time when most s side would have settled for a point. There have been a good few times this season when all the bellyaching has been understandable. Today really isn't one of them.
