But that very statement raises questions surely. We've had it so many times. Do teams really raise their game vs us compared to Man Utd or Arsenal for example? Or is there a problem with our game?
Krul obviously had a superb game. But I'd say only 2? or 3 of the saves he made were exceptional, saves I wouldn't necessarily expect most of the keepers in this league to make. Something like the Eriksen chance should be a goal. We shouldn't be giving Krul any chance there whatsoever. Soldado's header from a Townsend shot was difficult but was tame and straight at Krul. That will count as a 'save' when in reality, all he had to do was stand there.
We really weren't helped by AVB today either who made some very baffling decisions and our players, who, as people rightly pointed out, played the first half as if they were hungover.

It is strange but true. He tries to keep too many players happy, and seems spoiled for choice, but with a number of players all wanting to play in the same position.
He needs to make his mind up, pick a team and stick with it.

what in your life changes if we finish in either of those positions? what changed in your life when we missed out on CL last year by a point? anything? or did you just brush it off and look forward to the new season? I imagine the same will happen again regardless of where we finish this year.

Eriksen a bright spot? i think he's the only other player that nearly rivalled Paulinho's horrendous performance (although admittedly not as bad).

We said Eriksen would solve the creativity issue but perhaps we'll always have that issue with AVB.
