*** Tottenham Hotspur vs. Hull City OMT ***

4 blokes mowing the pitch as usual. Are they just mowers, or something clever? It seems odd they need to cut the grass/mud within seconds of the final whistle.

Good game. I like being slightly bored at the end, with a win already in the bag.

We're slowly looking a little bit like we did last season, which is encouraging. Eriksen getting back into form is vital. So close to that hat trick he wanted! Looked a little disappointed when we scored the third and it wasn't him.

Also very impreessed by Winks. He's got a lot of good stuff going for him.

Worth noting is that with Livermore, Mason, Kane, Onomah and Winks, there were five Spurs academy boys playing today. That's pretty cool. Guess you could probably add Rose to that as well.

Only disappointment for me was Onomha. He looks content with just being there. No spark or desire. Even when he only gets a few minutes, he doesn't show enough will and desire for me. He needs to man up and show some fight and intent!
I agree, massive difference between him and Winks in terms of how ready they look. Then again, Onomah strikes me as someone who has that lazy look too, without necessarily being lazy. A bit like Berbatov. Onomah still needs to show more though.

Winks just oozes Tottenham class

He plays simple effective balls and gets stuck in

Josh doesn't offer any of that and you wouldn't know that he was such a high regarded kid

Well, didn't catch this one. How'd we play? More specifically, how did Sissoko do, and did we look comfortable creating chances?

Yoof thinks he is playing out of position so maybe that's it, but he doesn't look ready IMO. He may be a little overawed by WHL and is just content to keep it simple for now, but is that good enough? I think he needs to get by his fears and start showing what he can do in these cameos Take a risk or two.

Very good overall. There was about a 15-20 min spell before the second goal where we were spinning our wheels and going nowhere but the second goal gave us the traction to kick on.

Eriksen MOTM for me. Full backs excellent as usual. Sissoko very good but still lacking a bit of end product. Kane, Alli and Son later were poor but the rest more than made up for their deficiencies.

Sissoko 6/10 a bit up and down but better.

3pts we move on.

Eriksen was my MOTM
Rose and Walker good.
Winks came on and was excellent.

Clever bunch then? .. He's 19 for fudges sake.

He shows potential in my eyes, I hope Poch continues to give him chances.

He's obviously doing something right in training.

Well their entitled to an opinion and although a couple aren't the brightest one runs a multi million £ company and the other is a director for a pharma company with two degrees so pretty clever

And on the subject of Josh.... he hasn't shown anything in any or the ganes I've seen where he has played against premier league opposition

Onomah has always looked a tad languid, but looks can be deceptive. I remember how the crowd got on Waddle's back in his first season and look how good he turned out.

Not saying Josh will be THAT good but I remember watching him for the under-21s a few seasons back and he always stood out talent-wise, very comfortable on the ball and able to go past players with ease.

I know Yoof has his doubts and for sure you do have to question why he's taking so long to show at this level but if Poch believes in him, well, that's more than good enough for me.

Too soon to judge onomah, obviously, but I agree that he has shown very little, and looks lazy and uninterested out there. He must have something in him though, for poch to keep throwing him on. Too early to judge, but not exactly holding my breath.

It seems churlish to complain about anything after a 3-0 win, but I thought we made heavy weather of it at times. Trying to play in 2nd gear, perhaps, and conserve energy for the weekend, but we were very static much of the time, standing still waiting to receive the ball on the edge of their box. There were periods when our passing went very slack and we seemed to be making them look a lot better than they are. Eriksen is playing himself back into form, at least, even if the same can't be said for Alli (or Kane, really). Rose was excellent, put in a fantastic shift, as did Walker. Sissoko at least tried to turn and run at the defence without waiting for them all to reassemble themselves in front of him, even if he did frequently fall over his own feet doing it. Winks looked lively again when he came on. This was Hull, though. I was a bit disappointed we didn't outclass them more convincingly, notwithstanding the scoreline.
