***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Chelsea OMT***

Would be nice to hear some good news about Maddison and Van der Ven in the morning. Looks like we may have to start with Royal on the left v Wolves, maybe Dier and Philips in the middle and Lo Celso in midfield, then a 2-week break.

Show spirit like that on Saturday morning and we could be back top again, and if Chelsea turn up and take a point off City next weekend things we look a bit rosier going into that break
Will never happen. City are far, far suprior to Chelski. They were very unimpressive tonight - a long time since a scoreline has flattered a performance like that.

Bentancur is also there. 3 man midfield of Sarr, Bissouma and Bentancur would be interesting. It is a good time to look towards the U21s for the defence.

Can’t blame the ref to be honest. Our own discipline cost us. We battered them for 20 mins and then started doing silly things for 5 minutes before we self destructed. From what I’ve seen of the Romero challenge, it was a disgrace and he got what he deserved. Udogie also deserved his red. Second challenge I’m not sure he had to make. Our discipline cost us big time, that was not a good Chelsea team.

On the plus side, so proud of the team. Tried their fudging hearts out to the end. Every one of them. Thought Vicario, Porro, PEH and Dier were very good. Dier’s defending before the red was absolutely outstanding to force their lad towards Udogie rather than allow him down the right. The lad is a pro.

I said repeatedly that we can’t afford to lose a centre back or Maddison. Looks like we could be a while without some or all of them. We’re now gonna find out how strong our challenge for CL football is.

That’s for tomorrow to worry about. Proud of the team and the fans tonight. COYS.

Disagree on Peh, too slow going forward and had to dropped into the back line, as for fk from the half way line, he should hung from the dare walk for that, fudging clown.

I don't think we will see VDV for a while, more optimistic about Maddison.

No idea what we will do at the back. Needs a lot of work on it for the rest of the week.

Up top, I would like to see Kulusevski brought central if Maddison out. Put Johnson out right and Richalison and Son left and up top.

Can you just let a little helium out of your overinflated, overemotional head?

We've benefitted from a relatively soft schedule and some fortuitous reffing decisions to be top of the league going into this game. It wasn't bound to last. Some close calls and tough breaks in this game hurt us but in no way does the final outcome define how our season will turn out. There's actually a lot to build on after this game.

We've been MancCity's bogie team for years now. Go up there and win and everything is wonderful. Again. But getting three points out of Molineux will be our next big challenge.

no I can't

other than City (who we have beaten in the last 50 odd match ups), we've played every team expected to finish top half, and other than Chelsea (who are actually fudging brick), we've smashed all of them

tonight is gonna kill us, we've lost Romero and VDV for a while, probably Maddison too, one led to the other to the other, dominos have fallen

if we don't make those mistakes tonight, we get another comfy win, no suspensions, no injuries, and we sweep the board between now and May

tonight was a disaster, that only Spurs could serve up, self destruction

and its about the thousandth time I've watched us do it

What did he say?
More from Ange Postecoglou on VAR decisions: "There will be a forensic study of every decision out there, I think that is the way the game is going and I don't like it. If you look at all that standing around we did today, maybe people enjoy that sort of thing but I'd rather see us playing football."

On Tottenham sending offs: "You have to accept the referee's decision, that is how I grew up. This constant erosion of the referee's authority is where the game is going to get - they are not going to have any authority. We are going to be under the control of someone with a tv screen a few miles away.

"The decision is the decision. In 26 years I have had plenty of bad decisions, I have had plenty fall in my favour. It is what it is."

On playing with a high line down to nine men: "It is just who we are mate, it is who we are and who we will be for as long as I am here. If we go down to five men we will have a go."

Just watching sky sports , why have the lines for diers offside goal been drawn to Diers hand?
Surely it's body parts that you are allowed to score with ?

Oh boy, Ossie Ardiles collapses here we come:eek::eek:

self inflicted, VDV and Maddison don't get injured if we are not chasing the game, Sonny gets 30 mins rest at least
You're right. We bottled the league tonight. Typical Spurs, same old thing. Doesn't matter who is in charge. Levy out, Ange out, Poch out. Let's all give up.
