After the international break I suppose Son was always somewhat likely to be on the bench. Alli just about making the bench based on fitness tests it would seem.

And no Nkoudou. Can't know for sure, but I'm perfectly happy with Alli, Onomah and Son as our attacking options on the bench rather than Sissoko regardless of the reason.

Those are the last two articles of any import I could find - both claim that there are still a lot of unanswered questions about whatever radioactive stuff is still present on-site (and it's still definitely on-site - the debate's apparently whether or not it was all found and stored at a safe depth/under the bridge or not). Still you're right, maybe @Bedfordspurs can clear it up.

Bit much for one person I'd say?
 
When Kane and Janssen have started together before it was Kane more as a #10 with Jansen leading the line iirc. Kane, Eriksen and one of Winks or Dembele as the attacking midfield trio in a 4-2-3-1 is at least somewhat likely i think. But quite a few options with that 11.

Possible though it does mean you're playing 1 or 2 out of position. Son must be jet lagged and Dele not fit enough to risk for 90 mins. Odd selection either way

Surprising team to say the least. I suppose Son is not deemed to be 100 % after travelling half way round the world and back this week. Alli clearly not fit enough. I'm not sure Winks is ready for a game like though. Hopefully he will prove me wrong. And I am not sure how we are playing. Dembele on the right? Or a diamond in midfield?

Seems like a good selection given the players available to Pochettino. Son on the bench after an international break is pretty standard I think.

I think Pochettino has been gradually easing in Winks for some time now and him getting a start is not a huge surprise despite not being what most people expected.

No problem at all with Winks - think he's a classy player and Poch shows her trusts him in CM. sissoko and GKN must be injured I guess otherwise would have expected to see then on the bench rather than one of the 2CBs or Onomah

Au contraire, I'm a bit reassured by it. Kane and Janssen up top means that whatever we send up there will stick - three men in central midfield (Wanyama, Dembele, Winks) means we'll probably be able to keep possession if that's our aim.

Dunno if we'll score or if Dier-Verts will be solid all game, but I'm sure that we'll have at least some measure of control.
