I like how we look with 3 in the middle.
Problem with it is that if you add those 3 CMs to the 4 defs then you have 7 players in the team who will not get more than 5 goals per season. It puts a hell of a lot of reliance on the other three in the team to get the goals

yeh it;s not perfect but when Lennon isn't fit i think we're the most balanced playing this formation. I also don't get why Bale persists on going inside which then results in Ade going to the left.
Walker might need to come off...

But you can't compare Modric's goal tally in a 442 with Lampard's goal tally in a 433 (and also Lampard is just a ridiculous beast of goalscoring that is rather hard to match)

Nice to see Bale and Modric sharing smile there a moment ago. There's definitely tension and tightness around our squad at the moment so any signs of relaxation are good.
