Tottenham Hotspur V IF Elfsborg

Wow amazing from Ajayi, I really like that he drove at the defence and made the opportunity. It's what I've been calling for all season, wide players who actually try to take the defenders on. Not all the time pass it sideways to someone else. That goal will do him the world of good and might even get Ange to give him more minutes.

Awesome debut for the boy!

Precisely. Brennan Johnson doesn't have this skill set. I wish he did.

Why couldn’t he get regular game time at Oxford?
Honestly I don't know, sometimes loans are complicated by the player not actually belonging to the side or change of managers or even simply his game not suiting that team or the level football. I truly do not know but I just have always felt there's something to him, not necessarily a Tottenham striker level bit something. He picks up good spaces, he got that read of where the ball might end up that a striker needs.

People should recall that we brought in youth in our last Europa game and we almost got punished. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Youth require patience as they are inconsistent.

Scarlettnhas really bulked up since I last saw him play. Looks a lot more suited to mens football than previous.

Said it. During this period, it hasn't been the youth letting us down. It has been the experienced ones. Great to see a young one take his chance.
Especially when all our seniors are injured and or knackered. They would have been forgiven. But the side to that is, would it have hampered their learning? But good or bad, they would have got stronger
