Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

I want to know more about the 15 year Nike deal. It has to be part of the stadium sponsorship and they're delaying an official announcement until the stadium is ready.

I’d say that’s a rationale guess
Would make sense for a start
And it’s a great thing for Nike to in bed early on something like this

I would have thought they dont want to be tied in with the bad press at the moment.

The club obviously wanted it to be ready for 15th of September. Circumstances out of the club's control made that impossible. The club says it's sorry, and are obviously hurting in a lot of ways because of this. Fans get refunds per game for their season tickets.

What is there to complain about? I mean, I understand the frustration, but why direct it at the club? What could the club have done differently? Promises by contractors were made, which meant we had to start selling season tickets to the new stadium (not having sold them would make no sense). It's a hickup. A little speck of dust in the longer view.

Shout the frustration into the void or the stratosphere, but please stop this negative crappy jappy knee jerk complaining around the club. It serves no one. WE ALL WANT IT TO BE FINISHED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Obviously.

Because it’s all such good news?

Well some will find bad news in everything, its what they do.

I think spurs fans are well in their right to bitch. It is a massive massive balls up from Spurs.

You cannot put brick like that poster up unless you are 100% certain that the stadium would be open on time. Regardless of us having a stadium for life it's made the club look a laughing stock no matter what anyone thinks. Spurs went into a build with no margin for errors which was either ballsy or plain fudging stupid.

I don't care that much anyway because its actually getting boring now but I don't think it's fair to mock those that are bitching.

The delays are pain but it is what it is.

I don’t mind Paddy Power taking the tinkle, they take the tinkle out of everyone and we’ve certainly opened ourselves up to tinkle taking with those ads about our ground being the only ground in London to watch the CL. We seem to have a history with this kind of thing, didn’t we announce tickets for the league cup final during half time of the North London derby when we we playing scum for a place in the final?

Basically we have 6-7 weeks to get the security certiifcates ,have the test events and get passed by health and safety if the utd game is to be the opener or more ironically a 3rd round fa cup tie against a league 2 team.I'm guessing they will all shut down for 2 weeks around 20th Dec so everything would have to be in place by then.My guess if it isn't ready we will be told to play the rest of the games at Wembley.

Some bird on Sunday supplement said she wouldn't be surprised if we don't open the stadium until next season. Can't see that happening.

I don’t think we’re anywhere near the point where the stadium won’t open this season yet, but surely there will come a point where it doesn’t make sense to open it for 4-5 games for example? If it’s January then no big deal. Just as long as it opens this season.

You need to have a look back through your posts mate. For someone who constantly complains about people not being positive you do seem to have a somewhat negative attitude towards your fellow forum members, the vast majority of whom are trying to be constructive and have Spurs best interests at heart, otherwise why be here?

For the record I don't give a sh!t whether we"re at Wembley, NWHL or MK. Makes no odds to me, it's either Leeds to London via M1/East Cost Mainline, then turn left or right. The recent announcement is a positive for me, as I can now plan through to mid January.
