Quite a six days. Travel down for Palace. First win at new White Hart Lane. Six days later first UCL win at new White Hart Lane. We weren't playing at the weekend so took the opportunity to take in a "lower league" match.......
Seen Messi score the winner at Camp Nou (in probably La Liga decider) and Spurs into their home for the next century, two big ticks on the bucket list.
Don't know how my Mrs puts up with it (although a weekend in Barcelona sweetens the pill I s'pose)

Yes it was a great sound and support, as for compering to the Lane i will never forget the nights under the lights there. Winning the 84 final was the best time i have had watching Spurs and i was so hyped i was actually sick on my way home, will never forget the games against the Dutch teams/fan with their flares and singing, and so many more that will live in the memory.
Early days at our new ground but if last night was going to become the norm then it will be brilliant, not better or worse as they both have their magic ( for me) but i can not wait. The sign was difficult to see as i was part of it but i think its a great idea ( although some supporters think its small time) and i hope its carried on.

Use to always walk Seven sisters. Decided to walk to Tottenham Hale yesterday. Much preferred it as instead of walking down the high road walked down the empty side roads. Meant no slow walking people in front of me. Got on a tube there at 22:20. Think I’ll be going there from now on. More likely to get a seat as well.

I was in middle of Park Lane for first half and atmosphere up there was fantastic, stood the entire time singing just like the old days.
Swapped seats with a mate at halftime to let him sample the wall of noise, so I was sat in northeast corner for 2nd half. Mostly sat down and barely any singing (Park Lane drowned out away section despite being much farther) plus had some barrow boy constantly screaming instructions to our players.

Hmmm. Walked there once after a 4.45pm finish a few years ago. November, so it was getting dark. Side streets felt pretty threatening, and very few fellow fans about. That was a few years ago, though - maybe it’s changed.
Used to walk there on the way home after 3pm, at a Europa game walking to the ground and made a quick march to the highroad, its a different place after dark

Tottenham issue bans to supporters guilty of 'persistent standing' during first two matches at new stadium

Spurs revealed they had already issued bans to supporters deemed to be guilty of persistent standing in the first two games at their new stadium.
'It was an amazing night on Tuesday and an intense atmosphere which undoubtedly played its role in the team's success in the first leg of our Champions League quarter-final against Emirates Marketing Project,' a note from the club to supporters read.
'However, it is important that everyone is able to see the match and enjoy it.
'We appreciate that fans will rise up at key moments in the match. Persistently standing for the whole match or for long periods, along with failing to heed requests from the stewards and fellow fans to be seated, is not acceptable behaviour, notwithstanding it's against ground regulations.
'Several bans have, therefore, been issued to fans as a consequence of their persistent standing.'
It was not immediately clear how long the supporters would be banned for, but the club did point out that these bans were nothing new and that persistent standing was something that had to be tackled by all clubs for ground safety reasons.
Spurs have made a perfect start to life in their new stadium, recording a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in its opening game followed by a 1-0 victory over City thanks to Son Heung-min goal.

I think that it is most likely to be as a result of pressure from the council. I doubt that the club care and this is only reason why I think that we see different approaches at different grounds.

They ain't! Unless they start using CCTV to identify those standing, which where I am in the South Stand is everyone, including several who have come down from the back because of complaints about them standing. Problem is they've now made a rod for their own back by taking and highlighting this stance.

I read that on Tuesday stewards were asking to see tickets and photographing them in order to identify the seat numbers of those standing. I didn’t see that myself but can only imagine the reactions that would provoke if true. I did see what was obviously a senior steward/manager prowling with a clipboard writing something down. It might well have been his shopping list for all I know but quite possibly he was noting row and seat numbers.
My expectation is that they will come down quite tough on standers in the Paxton which did not have standers at old WHL, so no precedent as an excuse, and maybe be a bit more softly softly with the south, especially the lower rows.

Im in row 40 of the South, pretty much from the row in front of me all the way back has stood so far and throughout the game, no stewards have come up yet
