Tottenham Hotspur Karen Club....what do they do?

I'm not so sure about the comment of there being a clear pathway from the academy to the first team - that no longer seems to be the case, but could equally be due to it being so much harder to break through into a CL-level team rather than a mid-table one.
Skipp and Tanganga have made the step up in the last couple of seasons. Others have had the odd game before going out on loan e.g. Parrott and Scarlett.
Still seems to be a path if the player is good enough.

One thing that I hope the chairman understands is that the main reason we had some poor recruitment is because we had a poor, cheap recruitment team.
That is addressed in the replies:
"There has been a detailed review of all departments on the football side of the Club in order to constantly improve and changes have been – and continue to be – made to ensure we remain competitive, attract and retain the best players and continue to progress. Improved recruitment and a world class academy are vital to our future success."

I'd say there is still work to be done on that but there have been a good few announcements about additions to scouting since Paratici has arrived.

Is this in reference to wages or transfers?

The ENIC investment was timely and critical as we emerged from the pandemic and sought to stay competitive on the pitch. We are ever-conscious of the new capital injected into other clubs which has seen player transfer spending increase significantly.

We should be mindful, however, of the implications of the changes to the governance of the game which will compel greater sustainability and financial fair play (FFP). Major changes have been introduced in Europe around FFP regulations, including the newly launched UEFA financial sustainability rules, the full impact of which will be felt from season 2025/26. They are based on three pillars: solvency, stability and cost control and clubs will have three seasons to adjust to them. Many expect that these new rules will be a game changer for the sport. We should also allow for the possibility of even tighter regulations.

Spot on, it is the same at most clubs, if your young players have shown they can play in the first team and do well there will always be a pathway> But they have to show they are good enough to hold a place.

Who was that?
Roman, wasn't until heavy pressure that he came out with "ohh I don't want my money back" despite a push by his legal to get his 1.7bn back via Camberley Investments or whoever the other company was that was due to take the money that his other shell company put in.

I know you love the bloke but he was bent as a nine bob note, killed people for his position in Russia, had a network of shell companies and clubs to double dip on players and launder money, had companies co owned with hit men, used the money to fund Chelsea which nearly drove the club to the wall when embargoed hence why their fans were on tele crying their eyes out and not being able to take cash at games last year.

No amount of tin and pots covers the fact he was a crook

Yes, that's fair.
At the same time it does feel that we have more players that are deemed as very promising by those who follow the academy choosing to move on rather than commit than we used to. But maybe it just gets highlighted more nowadays.

I think that is turning the corner as we pick up talents from other academies. Like the Chelsea kid and Lankshear.

I think the trust is exactly what levy and Co need if I'm honest ... the trust come up with brick that levy can't be bothered to discuss, his PR team destroy the trust .... trust look like muppets ... levy looks like a champ.

The trust do themselves and the ones that question levy at times no favours whatsoever

Even worse, they have continued to burn whatever capital they have with the pseudo threats and flimflam statements about concerns about the clubs situation.

This is not how you build any kind of long term working relationship.
With the previous friction between the Trust and club they had a chance of a reset with the changing of the guard when Kat and Martin (and probably others) stepped down to make way for fresh blood and impetus.

I can't quite believe the start they've made. To align themselves with the ENICout group and serve as a mouthpiece for them is misguided at best. To ask the questions they did (most of which have already been answered) and then reinforce the urgency by misrepresenting the manager is schoolboy stuff.

I guess they're mostly supposed to represent members of the Trust?

Are they doing that with this kind of behaviour? Or more just a part of that membership? Definitely not representing the fan base as a whole particularly well imo.
