Just thought I'd clarify that for you cos your reply obviously means you didn't know what he was implying. Oh you were doing the whole offended thing whoops sorry my bad

Dunno why you even replied to this numpty whoop.

I agree with the integration (or lack of) argument. Seems its the same for everyone tho not just Asians. You find that rather than integrate into the existing society people prefer to almost colonise an area to form their own society. You see it all over London and UK plus, as mentioned, with brits abroad too... It doesnt help matters but what can be done about it?

Genocide

Dont read it or post about it if you find it offensive
Bit hard really. How is anybody to know whether a post causes offence until they've read it? The alternative (taking into account the highlighted bit) is to read none of your posts under the assumption they will be offensive.

Why shouldn't somebody comment if they find something offensive? I'm sure you're not in favour of turning a blind eye or appeasement.

Absolutely, integration and living in harmony is so important. Living in Luton there are so many issues. I am a practising muslim, I look the part too, beard an all and I live in one of the nicer areas of Luton. 25 years ago it was mainly white with the odd asian family. For whatever reason the majority of white people have moved away from this area and it is almost exclusively asian now. Why? I have no idea, honestly. My children now grow up without much integration and my son has zero white children in his class at school, this concerns me. Is it because of the asians ghetto mentality that this is now such a ghetto? I think there is more to it and maybe both sides are suffering from a lack of desire to integrate.

With regards to barriers, I will tell you a true story. Last time I watched Spurs last year I was racially abused by a Spurs fan as I walked to the ground, funnily enough I was with white friends and when the abuser realised that I was a Spurs fan he freaked. I haven't been back since because I will probably end up lamping the next taco who gives me crap like that unprovoked and I wont change the way I look because of a few idiots. Key here is that I see my white mates a lot less now as I don't go to football anymore. My point is that a minority of muslims damage integration and harmony and a minority of non-muslims do too. It is a two way story.

Luton - you seem like a decent poster & a decent fella. I would share a pint (of lemonade) with you.

Serious question. you state that .....maybe both sides are suffering from a lack of desire to integrate.... & you added that you 'look the part too' (which you have mentioned in previous posts). As far as i am aware (forgive me if i am wrong), the dress code is a matter of choice (particularly for men). Do you not think that this helps perpetuate the 'them & us' message?

Not having a pop - just wanted your opinion.

Hey Nutter,

I look the part as in I have a beard, I dress like a normal person, jeans and t-shirt etc.. normal short hair. I don't wear the muslim dress often. It is the long beard that stands out and the fact I am an asian along with the beard maybe...

I have a wife who who wears the veil in Pakistan and does not where it in the UK as a matter of choice and the fact that it draws alot of attention which kind of defeats the point of it. I think we do our bit personally...

Reminds me of that curb your enthusiam when larry can not decide whether to stick with his own people or go into the muslim chicken place, i would have gone and had the threesome in the chicken places them girls were hot.

I like some muslim women, when i was in tunisia a few years ago i saw a lot of them, some are well hot and i think what i like is they dont throw it in your face, im not talking about the ones who cover themselves up. But they dressed more like smart european women and they have this walk, i tell you a woman is sexy in her walk.

Women in this country don't walk right, there thinking about sex and the city or what the magazines tell them and there trying to be sexy, or in the city there trying to look classy. The muslim women in tunisia they walked and they owned their bodies and their bodies owned them, they were at one with nature and they did have to try at it, it came natural to them.

I love women i really do, you know what i mean about a woman who can walk properly? the ones in this country have lost the art of doing it, they have to much crap cluttering up their minds, but then that is women in general, dumb bitches.

Do your bit, do your bit??? send me some cream cakes then we will consider whether your doing your bit.

From a British perspective:

I actually missed this bit on first reading. You (and the author) do realise that an increasing number of British Muslims are 'British'? Born in the UK, raised in the UK, same slang as other British people speak, same food etc etc. It is getting harder imo to continue with these black and white divisions.

Not digging Marky (as OP) out but it's amazing how many people still say "Well if the Muslims don't like it they can fudge off to where they came from".

Some people find it impossible to reconcile British and Muslim let alone white skinned and Muslim. I was at a meeting last week, working lunch turned up and and amongst it there was a plate of Pork byproducts (Pork pies and similar), I asked the question "Are there any Muslims here?" (admittedly to be mischievous as much as anything) but it was obvious by the shocked looks on people's faces that nobody had considered the thought when ordering the buffet as the meeting was entirely made up of WASP appearing junior managers and myself.
