That just means we've been underpaying him based on the current market rate.
Not really
He is after being paid almost double the rate of other centre backs at similar clubs in the league

Why are you on here and not swimming, necking the San Miguel and playing with the anklebiters.....do they have sand?
All "projects" need great players to succeed. All teams that have been successful in the last 10 years have had great players; RM, Barca, Dortmund, Bayern etc. They didn't win because of a "project".
We’re on a beach and I hate beaches
Sand gets everywhere it shouldn’t

Well Barca have a philosophy which stems form the project which was to bing through their own youth... that led to better players... which led to mroe money and then mroe investment
Madrid’s project is simply to buy what they perceive to be the best
Bayern’s is buy the best the other teams have in their league
Not quite double. Stones, Otamendi, Walker, Bellerin, Kolasinac, Cahill, Luiz, Valencia to name a few are all on £100k a week or more.
True but Barca also had Messi. Not to mention Iniesta, Xavi and Busquets.
Bayern buying their rivals players is a prime example of why we shouldn't even consider selling Toby to an English club.
We should, if the price is right, anything else would be madness. I´m glad that the club is run by Levy and not by some of you.

Exactly. We might not of really weakened ourselves selling Walker, but City certainly became stronger having him as full back...I’d sell him for £10m less abroad no probs
Stop strengthening the teams were trying to beat
All aspects of value have to be calculated. How many days a season the man is available for work will impact that. Walker was a different story in so much as there were personal reasons for him wanting to be in the North. Poch (perhaps foolishly?) sanctioned the move based on a variety of factors, not least of which was the person himself. Call it what you will, and I understand all sides, but personally, I think the knock-on effect of seeing that your manager is a human being too only strengthens your overall hand. I can assure you that when it came to Dier being tapped up last summer, this was most certainly the case. Any other manager and he’d have been off, I promise you.

Do you actually know this? Far as I’m aware you just see the media throwing figures of a players salary out there, how do you that’s anymore factual than the rest of the nonsense they print? Happy to be told otherwise....When I think of the Toby situation I always chuckle to myself when I consider Hugo and Harry are our only current players who earn more than Sissoko. Definitely not Sissoko's thought, but it makes me think we got something so wrong
Agree with this pretty much. Selling a certain calibre of player to your rivals is acceptable if the fee is high enough. Selling someone of Alderweireld's ability to a top 6 rival would be folly in the extreme.I’d sell him for £10m less abroad no probs
