Getting more and more anti-Tottenham as 2016 went on.

Tonight he went beyond the pale on 'Have I Got News For You' with the joke he read out.
"Some Leicester fans were seen swinging from lamp posts. Sadly some Tottenham fans were seen doing the same thing"
 
He's been acting like a spotty teenager recently - just ignore him!

I just watched that. (for those that missed it, the first sentence above was in the context of their celebration parade). I found myself swearing out loud at the tv as he made that "quip". You could say it was scripted for him, but I am sure he has the authority to refuse certain scripting, should he so wish. Obviously he didn't so wish in this case. And he looked like he enjoyed it.

Made me laugh

It's all banter, just have to suck it up and carry on!

Pretty sure Paul Merton is a Palace fan....i'm sure he was when on Fantasy Football in 1993/4.

Not got a massive problem with it...as said it's all scripted but yes he does owe us a lot of love next season! He has stated on several occasions this season that he would be wanting us to be winning if it wasn't for Leicester.

yes, we are on the receiving end at the minute, but he'll be tinkling me off just as much during the euro's with an England bias, its unprofessional

Ironically this is the statement that is said about Woolwich nearly every season....they can't even come up with new jokes!

I have heard the same person trot that out every evening this week to different people. A bit amusing on Monday (if I had been in the mood for 'amusing'). Less so on Tuesday. Past its sell by on Wednesday. Plain irritating Thursday/Friday.

Remember little things please little minds - it's old but very true!
If we we stop all real banter then we have all lost and it would be bloody dull!
Arsenal fans know they are on very thin ice with alway fixating on us.
Mind it gives thier manager bashing a rest!

Actually I have no (or little) problem dealing with Woolwich fans, much as I hate having to. On a personal level amongst people who know each other, most get the 'banter' (urgh!). This person is not even bothered about football particularly, just thinks its funny. My tolerance level is low for such people.
 
Time to ignore Lineker. He was a great player for us and a boyhood Leicester fan. I got bored of reading his totally understandable pro-Leicester tweets and articles so stopped paying attention to them. As for Gooners, they skate on the thin ice when they try and banter us about how this season panned out. Their failure is palpable, whereas our 'failure' was a failure of altered expectations. And even taking that into account we over-performed based on our assets, unlike those cruddy scummy-filled turd-pustules.
 
Christ a man who's local team, which he loved and played for, wins a trophy who nobody thought would every happen is happy and having a bit of fun, lets nail him to a cross. Welcome to the modern world of the business that involves kicking a ball, it's not the GAME I love and the type of person who purports to have an interest in it do not appear to have any empathy with anyone but their own feral clan.
 
He's a dingdong. Annoying and has backwards political views. Has posted stuff on twitter from a terrorist speaker. I commented back and he blocked me.
