I think it's so unfair to make Woolwich start away from home and have to catch up on other teams, they are so much better getting out in front and letting someone overtake them.
 
This season was brilliant. Can’t wait until next year. Until then let’s see what players that we can bring in.
 
A very pleasing start to the season, now everyone has played 4 games.
We are hoping for CL which should mean Top5, which means we don't necessarily need to finish ahead of LIV ARS MNC CHE which means our rivals for 5th will start to become apparent as the weeks go on.

Will it be BOU? EVE? CRY? NEW? AST?

Game week 7 is done. Look at the post above, LIV were miles ahead, now it has all smushed up.

Ifff we assume the top 4 is some mix of ARS LIV MNC CHE and assume 5th gets us CL, we need to finish above the rest.
BOU and CRY are doing well; their managers have bedded in.
CRY have European games and poor squad depth. BOU are looking good though.

Pleasing that last year's 5th 6th 7th 8th NEW AST NOT BRI did not get a great start, but are still only 5 behind us.

As unlikely as it is, we should be aiming to win the league. If we aim for 5th then we’ll likely finish 6th or 7th as we won’t view each match as the must win match that really it has to be. Give up points and we give up meeting our targets.
 
Obviously the team in 1st is worrying. But ignoring that it is rather positive.

We are fighting for top 5 at best, not 1st. Note that BOU/SUN/BRI/BRE do not have Europe.

We can assume AST/NEW/CRY will be playing European football for quite a while.

It is getting to the stage of the season where I wonder if we would benefit from either an early exit from the League Cup, or going all the way i.e. no point battling to the semi final.

Palhinha/Bentancur/VdV/Kudus/Porro are playing too many games currently, we need to rest some of them up at Saudi Sportswashing Machine in the week, IMO.

Although Liverpool have some new signings to integrate.....it looks like they are in a bit of a spin. They could fudge top 4 up.
