The youth players/on-loan thread 2014-2015

FT: Hampton & Richmond Borough 1-1 Spurs Development Squad - One-way traffic in second half, Akindayini, McQueen, Miller and Ball all close.

Went to the game this evening. I thought Harry Winks looked a decent prospect in the middle and also thought Connor Ogilvie had decent game. Probably a good game for the development team to have as its a more physical game than the u21 league.

I know for a cast iron fact that our scouting department are following Donervon Daniels while he is on loan at Blackpool from West Brom.

Whether we would ever put a bid in I doubt I would be able to find out but he is one of the players we are looking at. Pleases me that we are looking at young British based player again, ties in with us looking at the lad Gray at Birmingham.

Grant Hall and managerless Birmingham lost 0-8 at home to Bournemouth. Birmingham had David Edgar sent off in the 7th minute.

Your Brighton mugs cost me another £70 notes today.

Mate PM me if you want but I have genuine inside information that club is not all rosy not at all. Bloom the owner gave them an interest free loan for the stadium and the training ground but sold 10m worth of players and replaced them with 1.5m worth of players he gave to much power to david burke who is director of football there. I heard Hypia tried to resign when sammy lee turned down the job and went to Southampton as assitant manager because of his dislike of David Burke.

The club is being ruined, ironically by the director of football system that I hate so much at Tottenham as I know that of the 10 players Hypia signed in the summer he had no input on any of them and is now spending more time developing his Finish football academy and setting up tournaments for the Finish youngsters then he is on Brighton. The have Bournemouth next in the league.

U21s losing 1-2 to Liverpool. Shayon Harrison and Azzaoui have come on for their debuts.

Final score was 2-1 to scousers.

But we had a very, very young team out tonight. Two 16 year olds in the starting line up (Cameron Carter-Vickers and Tom Glover). One more (Ismail Azzaoui) came on as sub. No player over 19. By contrast no player below 17 in the Liverpool lineup but a couple of 20 year olds and a couple of 21 year olds (including our former academy player, Kevin Stewart).

Sounds as though it was a close, action packed game.

Football was the real winner.

Cheers for looking into that. I get the impression that our u21 team is often fairly young compared to the opposition, but only rarely do I take the time to actually look into it.

Azzoui getting his debut for the u21 team is pretty cool!

Boro fan on a mixed forum i go on has been full of praise for Fredricks - reckons he's the best RB in the league :p great in attack and strong defensively. Naughton was there on loan the other year and Fredricks is 'on another level' apparently
