The worst ever season

I loved the Gross season, strangely, games like Wimbledon at the end of the season and beating Saudi Sportswashing Machine at home. Strange really to say but that was a fun season for me as a supporter....

I think it depends on expectation, in the 90s I didn't expect much from us so a decent cup run or a good performance was enough to keep me interested. This year I expected a lot more, we'd spent a lot of money on what looked like some really talented players. I didn't expect them all to be amazing from day one but I did think that we'd be in with a good shout at 4th, especially with UTD likely to fall away. Instead we seem to have gone backwards, we're easily as boring as I can remember us being and I've never gone into so many big games expecting to get a tonking and then getting it. That makes this season the most difficult to stomach for me.

There is something particularly bitter and nasty about this season's shambles. We've finished much lower in the league before of course, but rarely has a season been so fundamentally unenjoyable as this one.
