The biggest problem for us regarding Leeds isn’t catching them now….it’s that they are likely to be safe already when they play West Ham on the last day.And 9 points does not guarantee anything now. Leeds already have 36 points and 6 games to go.

I think some of this is complete nonsense.
Most players, given the level they are at can pass the ball (endless videos of them doing rapid passing in training).
So it's a tactics, system, between the ears thing.
My favourite example is Bodo. 95% of their passes are not special/difficult. Just standard passing. It flows because they've learnt the system/tactics and have trust and belief in that system and each other. They haven't learnt to pass.
And I'd guess most netruals would say we have a better standard of player than them.
Yes, it's handy to have a passer that can do something special/unusual/unpredictable but it's not essential. (We probably have in Maddison and Xavi two that could fulfil that role tbh)
Tbh it's just a lazy narrative....I think it would be more accurate to suggest that we look like a team going thru a mental breakdown atm.
In one sense I agree with you, the Bodo example is a good one and also the fact that our players are internationals and should be capable of the basics is completely true.
On the other hand, I think our club’s obsession with data has gotten us into this mess. It’s in the signings, it’s in who we well and when, it’s who we choose not to sign or return from loan, it’s in the managers we sack and appoint. Basically everything is too far towards what the model says and not enough sense of what the human beings need.
We absolutely shouldn’t be 18th regardless of the actual passing quality of the squad. And I do think we’ve gone through a complete mental breakdown. But I think the breakdown started because of decisions that were made on a spreadsheet, and not with a good sense of why the squad needed.

I’ve been thinking about this, too.I'm intrigued to see what they'll do if we go down. On one hand, we're already losing £250m and there will likely be people losing their jobs so they can't afford to lose much more revenue. On the other hand, I have two season tickets that cost twice that each. Not sure I want to be paying that to watch Lincoln, Preston and Norwich.
Other factor to take into account is that there will be zero demand for tickets so ticket exchange will be virtually redundant so you won't be able to sell for games you can't get to, will also effect the 3rd party resale sites they won't be making anything out of Spurs tickets.I’ve been thinking about this, too.
My ST is £1100. Roughly £60 per game. I would t expect to pay more than £35 per game for Championship football.
My thought is that the club will enact a tiny price reduction and then point out that we are getting more games for less money.
I’ll be walking at that point. I’d say £700 is my absolute top whack. It hasn’t been enjoyable for years, after all.
I'm really struggling to work out what would be considered cat A games if we went down. I reckon a member would be likely to be able to attend every game for an average of £25-30 per game. At which point anything over £700 for a season ticket becomes a one (hopefully) season debenture.I’ve been thinking about this, too.

I think at the last look, we had something like 35,000 season ticket holders. Taking £1,200 to be the average price (no idea if it is), that's about £40m they take in from season tickets. It'd cost them £10m-£20m to drop it 25%-50%. That's real bag of the fag packet maths but on the face of it, that isn't huge. I guess they'll also take a hit in the club shop and I can't imagine the crowds will be as big so other matchday revenue will be down too. They'll also likely have to lay people off.I’ve been thinking about this, too.

If they reduce by 30% which I doubt that will take you down to £770.
Big problem is the wage bill it's about the 14th highest in European football and the debt , Collecott and co are going to have to come with some answers on the financial front, of course ENIC might inject £200 million into the club and solve the problems![]()
For anyone in a quandry over renewing I can't see us having many Saturday 3pm KO's in the Championship, Sky or ITV will want to show most of our matches because of the viewing figures and they can't televise at 3pm on Saturday so it will be Saturday/Sunday early KO or an evening match.
Even worse on Sundays because they can't clash with the PL game at 2pm , this Sunday Ipswich v Boro big game for both has a noon KO, doesn't seem to matter on Saturdays because the early KO PL game are shown on TNT not Sky/ITV.Excellent! We always play so well in 12.30 KOs.
(This wouldn’t also hit match day revenues, surely? Can’t imagine too many pints or pizzas are sold before a Saturday or Sunday 12.30 game.)
