The Spurs Legends team

It was a good day out, I didn't want to go but my grandson wanted to see the players his Dad goes on about and Pirlo, probably one of the few there who can say he was there when Mark Falco played his first and last game at our home ground. Said to my son that's the most disciplined I've seen Kabul play.

I enjoyed today but wish I could have been there with someone else. My brother had to pull out due to being on call for work. But it was a decent match albeit it played unsurprisingly at near walking pace.

Aaron Lennon did more today in terms of breaking at speed and taking on defenders than Brennan Johnson does. Defoe looked sharp. Berbatov seemed to just be taking it all in his stride and wasn’t desperate to get a goal.

Keane linked well with the team and seemed to find all the right places to be. A reminder of better times than what we are currently experiencing.

Good overall, shame that the price put off some. It’s good to see a match like this that is fun without any real pressure.

Lennon was literally twice as fit and fast as most out there, mind you he is considdddddddddderably younger than most at 37, and could still be playing like various other 37 year olds are.

All he had to do was stay out on the right, then ANY ball slipped down the channel would be easy peasy for him to run onto and create a goal... but for some reason he decided to be a playmaker and try to vary his game, rather than doing that one thing he is legendary at.

He plays on the right, he plays on the riiiiight, Aaron Lennon, he plays on the right.

It seemed at times too that we often overplayed it in the attacking areas. We got the ball up there and then passed it too many times. Needed Lennon to just get down the wing and square it for Keane or Defoe as he did for Keane’s first.

In all seriousness, Lennon on a cheeky free transfer to the end of the season.

At least get him in as a coach replacing whoever is coaching our wingers now.

Defoe definitely could. He still knows where the net is and still looks in decent shape. I'm not joking when I say I would start Lennon and Defoe ahead of Werner and Richarlison

Berbatov's legs are gone, but the footballing brain and awareness of the pass is still there
I thought the same today. Defoe could still play I think.
