you can link some up to iphone apps which find stuff for you

Telescopes are amazing. Really need an area with no light pollution to get the best out of them, but amazing perspectives on such distant objects.

Myself, I prefer working with this glass goliath, a Sigma 300-800mm f5.6 lens, often called the Sigmonster:

Bought mine off a bored billionaire who threw his back out trying to shoot pictures of super moons.

Shot from over 6km away, you can see people standing on the Edgewalk platform on the roof of the big communications tower in Toronto.
