The Road To Tirana - European Conference League 2021/22

Mura in our group have already lost a CL qualifier dropped into the EL, played and lost a qualifier in that, and have now dropped into the ECL with us, all before the season has barely begun.
Well, yeah, so I didn't get involved into all the complications before the group stages. That way madness lies. But also more games for lower league teams. While it probably ruins their summers, it's not like they'll have huge late-season fixture backlogs.

Strong team in the home games to collect 9 points then send the second string away and take what we can from those games- worst case 3 home wins should be enough to see us through?

Go strong for the 1st away as well. Want to make sure of top place as saves two games in February.

First up Rennes away

I dont mind that actually...before that we have Palace at midday on the Saturday and afterwards is 430pm v Cheatski

So given the gap beforehand, we can pretty much go full strength for Rennes away and Cheatski I'd have thought

The midweek after that is the league cup v Wolves and then its the NLD so it might be we have to take a big chance with the line-up for Wolves

Something like:

Sat 11th Palace - full strength (5 day gap afterwards)
Thurs 16th Rennes - a few changes but lots of the bigger name players
Sun 19th Cheatski - full strength
[Tues/Wed] Wolves (LC) - lots of rotation
Sun 26th NLD - full strength
Thurs 30th Mura (h) - half first 11 / half squad players
Sun 3rd Villa - full strength

Think that works for us doesnt it?

Squad listed

GK -> Lloris, Gollini, Austin.

As blahh-zay as some are about Spurs playing Conference League matches, they do offer us one delightful benefit - our supersoaraway UEFA club coefficient is now bigger than Arsenal's. That thumping 5-1win over Mura did the trick.

We're tied with Roma and just four points abaft of Sevilla. A good run of wins in this tournament would tighten up the gap to Man U in 10th place, at 93 points.
