in the last set of accounts we were closer to Hull on Wages than Liverpool - we are spending less than everyone on Transfer fees and less than our competitors on Wages. We could always spend less on wages and more on transfer fees.

I thought it was total transfer spend. Or maybe income from transfers. I do wish when people put up graphs and tables they'd put some sort of explanation of what it's meant to be.@Jordinho is that wages only? and whats the source?
Or at least quote the source. It's just a jumble of meaningless bollox otherwise.I thought it was total transfer spend. Or maybe income from transfers. I do wish when people put up graphs and tables they'd put some sort of explanation of what it's meant to be.
fudging annoying.
The message he was responding to refers to transfers as well as wages.its yearly wage bill - nothing to do with transfers.
he's replied to a post stating we have a wage bill closer to Hull than we do Liverpool, what else would it be?

I did wonder about that but still found it confusing because usually there is a legend or something to clarify what it's meant to be.it does... but he bolded the wages talk

Those figures don't agree to staff costs in Spurs' published accounts which were £100.4m for 2013-14 and £100.8m for 2014-15 (the latest available year).
"The above figures were taken from official clubs accounts ended 2013,2014 while the 2015 figures are speculative from sources like guardian.co.uk who publish premier league club finance details every years."
Well, we're no longer paying Winks and Dele in turnips...not to be hung up on this (Liverpool) but they have just published last years accounts. I would be surprised if our wages have not risen at a similar pace.

Liverpool's wage bill has soared to more than £200million per annum after a rise of 25 per cent, report the Liverpool Echo.
The Reds shelled out £208,258,000 on salaries for players and staff for the 12 months up to May 31 2016 - more than Premier League rivals Emirates Marketing Project (£198m) and Arsenal (£195m).
That represents a hefty increase on the previous year when Liverpool’s wage bill was £166,085,000. The details are included in the club’s accounts which have now been filed at Companies House.
