The race for 86 points

Eriksen has the second most assists in the whole PL. He is easily amongst our top 5 players. Luxury player? I have rarely even seen a player so gifted that is prepared to work as hard as Eriksen does. He has pretty much identical attacking stats to Ozil, but also plays a huge part in our pressing game and keeping us defensively solid. If Eriksen was free'd from/neglected his defensive duties like Ozil does then his attacking stats would be even better. I don't quite understand how you think we should or can replace perhaps the most effective midfield player in the league?

He has better stats this season
He also has better stats than Hazard
Only de bruyne is ahead of him in his position now

Claims that we blew the title last season are incredibly wide of the mark.... We blew second place but not the title. We were never top of the league. We were always trying to play catch-up, but Leicester just carried on defying expectations and winning. Even if we had won all of our last four games we still would've finished behind Leicester.

It suits an agenda, particularly from opposition fans

There we go.... and none of them put in anything like the defensive work rate that Eriksen does. It really does frustrate me that some people cannot see how good Eriksen is. There isn't another player in the Premier League who is better suited to the role he has in our team.

Wenger pushed the fourth official.... It was also the second time that Wenger had done so this season. Luckily for Arsene he didn't get punished the first time as he should've done, as if that had happened then he probably would've been facing a 6 game full stadium ban now.

it's wenger, he's like a grandmother, angry klopp looks like a maniac, i'd find him a lot more threatening

not to say wenger shouldn't be sanctioned, he absolutely should, but you don't need to lay hands on someone to intimidate them, klopp should be done too

But if he has a poor game he isn't allowed any excuses

It's a strange own way with him as he really has divudes some of our fans

People say we need a back Up and I think that Marcus Edwards may be that man soon. We also have lamella to come back too

Oh and I was wrong about de bruyne - he has the same about if goals/assists as Erisken at 13

I disagree.... You are not allowed to lay your hands on the official at all. Doing so should surely always be the worst offence, don't you think? The next worst offence is questioning their impartiality (calling them a cheat, etc). After that it is swearing at / threatening them.

If Klopp really did say what he claims he did to the 4th official (and I would assume that the 4th official would've called the ref over if Klopp had instead being threatening him?) then he has just about stayed on the right side of the line IMO. Perhaps he could've been booked if the ref thought his actions were over the top, but surely you cannot think he should get the equivalent punishment to what Wenger got for pushing the 4th official?

It's funny because IMO Dier has been absolutely awful all season and yet he gets far less criticism on here than Eriksen does. I think perhaps some people are fine with a player irrespective of how poorly they play just as long as they thunder into a few challenges to make it look like they care.

I disagree, like I say, klopps actions were more threatening than wengers imo, they should both be sanctioned

I think Dier has been fine. Its not easy playing several positions and he has been key to help us get to 2nd

In fact no one has been poor or even remotely near to it

Were 2nd in the league and have played the so called best team in the league off the park over the two games (we were better at Stamford Bridge) yet we have a need to fault find. I know were not finished or perfect as a team but hell were better than 90 other teams in the country

You are right about Dier. He's having a disappointing season IMO, especially compared to last. I think it was the Euros that knocked him and he hasn't been the same since. Though he is playing a new (old?) position which is a contributory factor and he's young, so he'll rebound I would think.

Fair point, but there were fans ( and i talked to a few ) who thought we were going to and saw their arse when we did not. Personally ( and i said it on here) i thought we were not good enough then and i still think we have a way to go before we do.

because of that i think IF we win a trophy is will help us become a even better side and as long as we keep making the same progress that we have shown under Poch then one day we may get that title.

I agree, the fact that he has been moved about into three? different positions this season has not helped him find settled form. I do not think its a coincidence that his best season ( so far) was last year when he was played in one specific place.

I think the crowds at Wembley will be very good.... I think the club will look to sell the same number of season tickets at Wembley that they are going to sell at the new stadium and those that get one next season will then have one at the new stadium.

What you mean is the crowds are going to bigger, not very good..

If its not managed larger crowds mean less atmosphere

Everyone's entitled to their opinion etc etc. But he's been a mainstay in the best defense we've had in my lifetime. He's featured in all but two of our Premier League games this season (more than any of our other central defenders) and overwhelmingly in central defense, which arguably isn't even his best position. His positional versatility allows us to switch effortlessly between a back four and a back five. Though most of our poorer Prem performances this season (0-0 sunderland, 0-0 Bournemouth, 1-1 Leicester) have come with him in a back four, I'd argue that it's usually an offensive problem, as the Dembele/Wanyama midfield pairing that just doesn't offer nearly as much going forward than the Dier/Dembele one from last year.

There's a reason that, aside from his little injury in the early season, he's basically always on Poch's teamsheet. Sure, he's not quite on Toby or Jan's level as a central defender (who is?), but he's such an important player who has been instrumental on making this one of Tottenham's best ever teams in the Premier League era. He's a brilliant player, who is only getting better.

I dont think Dier has been "poor" either. He has just turned 23, probably at a comparable point in his career as either king or toby. Isn't the same but is a little like Milner in that he gets shifted all over the place, and is a 7/10 in multiple positions and systems.

Emirates Marketing Project game showed that, played in a back 3, then in-front of a back 2 when we were getting over-run, then part of a back 2.
Having Dier in the team allows us a tactical flexibility during a game that is very useful.

Almost saves us a attacking sub by starting him in a 3

Over-run in midfield, pull Walker and Rose back and he goes in to help Wanyama. Walker gets injured then he goes right back. If we cant break a team down, remove Wanyama for a striker and Dier steps into DM. Injury to Verts or Toby and he drops in.

Wanyama and Kante may be better "destroyers" and get plaudits but won't give you the tactic flexibility.
