By the sounds of it the stadiums are going to be empty for most if not all games...

Well done to those who decided it should be in Ukraine / Russia

France 2016 will be the one to go and watch, 50 mins through the eurotunnel

The next three World Cups are pretty much out of the question. Besides, France is a very nice place outside the stadiums as well IMO.

So if your wife blew your credit card tomorrow she'd be blameless because it's your fault you lent it to her for day (eventhouhg I wouldn't imagine giving strict insturctions - blow it all, hon).

You even admitted yourself Arry had a 'history'

If I had a wife and she blew my credit card I would ask her why she isnt blowing me instead

boooooooooooooom tish

Have you seen the Full Monty?

What sort of analogy is that? If your bitch stepped to you and said "Arcy, my cute little bulldog, could I have ten pairs of Jimmy Choo's today when we go shopping, I need them ALL, pretty pweeeease" and you said yes, then it's your fault.

What you should have said is "Down bitch. I be buyin' you enough shoes last season, ho, you can have two new pairs that's it. Daddy ain't made of gold. Sheeeit, bitches always ballin' for the foot wear"

That's responsible pimpin' 101.

The insinuation here suggests Storrie gave Arry x amount of pessos and Arry dealt with them accordingly

For the sake of Roy's thread I'd agree to disagree

Maybe not the Irish games - 14k turned up at training the other day, though I think a fair few were Poles.

No, the insinuation is that Storrie has to sign off any and every deal made at his club!

I imagine Harry just gave Storrie a list of names and asked him to get him as many as he could. This was before the days of the 25-man squad.

Ive signed up.

Main team is

-----------------Cech-------------
Piszczek---Johnson---Pique----Zhirkov
------Modric---Dzagoev---Nasri
---Lewandowski---Cassano-----Llorente

Lewendowski is a great shout for the groups, I'm just not sure how many chances they'll make for him. Cassano is a non-starter for me, why change the habit of a lifetime and actually try and use your GHod given talent? Lazy brick bag.

You don't have to see the balance sheet to know you budget/means which you already claimed he knew.

Redknapp was deeply involved in that club - look at his Mandaric dealings, ffs

Yeah i wasnt sure about Cassano but with the money left over the options left werent up to much. If Italy do better than im expecting and perform i would think that Cassano would be the focal point of their attack (i believe he scored most for them in the group stages) so was hoping he could get a few. Im far from convinced though.

di Natale will probably end up scoring there goals if they do manage to score. I dont think they'll make it out the groups personally.

Redknapp = Manager. Not owner, not chief exec, chairman or accountant - manager.

The manager is not responsible for finances, at all.

If he says "I want this player" and the club get them for him its not his fault - he works under the pretence it must be ok then.

If he says "I want this player" and the club says "No, no money" its the end of that story.

Either way Redknapp holds no power in the situation and therefore no responsibility.

Of course he is, but the financial stability of the club is not his remit. It isn't any manager's remit. The job of the manager is to create a team and footballing ethos that converts directly to success on the pitch. The job of the board is to facilitate the manager in his role, within the financial constraints of the club. You're telling me that you expect Redknapp, a man who cannot exmplain his own financial affairs under oath no less, to have a Scooby Doo about the long term financial intricacies of a multi million pound business?

Redknapp brought Storrie to Portsmouth! - they'd been mates for years prior. This was nothing like his current dealings/relationship with Levy

Arry made % comission from many of the sales and purchases - the higher the amount - the more in his pocket.

Exactly. I don't understand why this is even discussed.

This kind of thing has come up before and for us the answer has always been Daniel Levy, we trust him to not let stuff like that happen. The ineptitude of other chairmen can't be blamed on Harry.

Of course he is, but the financial stability of the club is not his remit.

So eventhough he knew they couldn't afford these players he still went for them irrespective and recommended them to Storrie whom he brought in as his man in the first place! And for that he cannot be blamed because it's his 'nature'. Please take a second and think about that, mate

Be vary careful there mate, don't want to get the site in trouble ;) In any case, it is completely irrelevent that they were friends/associates. Storrie is still the business owner and Redknapp the manager. If he WAS taking financial advice off a man who cannot count to a top, top number, then he deserved to go bankrupt. This, of course, is not the case anyway.
