Facing reality is not the same as wanting them to win it. City and Liverpool are in decline and have been for quite some time. Over the past couple of years Arse* have put themselves in the best position to take advantage of that. It’s been blatantly obvious for a while.

So important we get something today.
I despise the muck we have been serving up for the vast majority of this season but it will all be worth it if we scum a win today.
Yeah some seem to be in denial about the quality of football we have been playing. Opta produced a league table for Deserved league position based on expected goals/chance creation - we are 5th bottom of the league.
It's fine to say Frank needs more time etc, that's absolutely the case. Doesn't mean we can't critique what has been happening in front of our eyes. We do at least have a proven record at getting points away from home, so all is not lost....

I think both can be true (I know you wasn't replying to me here). We have to hope with the return of Kulu and Solanke things will improve. Still think with the players at Franks disposal we should be playing better football, but regardless absolutely deserves time and he's at least been getting some points on the board to keep us in the top 6 mix.
Would love to see a formation where Kulu and Simons can play together, I reckon we should be capable of some really nice interplay with those two....

I don't think they had to, vvd and Salah leave in the summer and expectations drop giving slott some time.
Add the CB from palace and you can see them being challengers again.
If Salah had went to the oil league for mega bucks they'd be in a good position to strengthen in January or next summer.
For me they feared a backlash from the fans akin to the trent situation, spurs level incompetence imho.
