Thought that podcast with Hodgson was excellent. What a great man he is. Sure, he had his failures at an exceptionally high level but his career was outstanding and he absolutely takes responsibility for any failures he had. No excuses. He was also very, very insightful and articulate. Roy can be a bit abrasive but he's a very, very knowledgeable man. Really enjoyed listening to him.I don't really like many football podcasts unless they are good speaking ex pros who give insights into their time and things that happen in the background. Been seeing a few of these clips pop up now and then and its so interesting to hear about players refusing to play etc, we as fans think the decisions by managers are so easy or logical, rarely do I think we know as much as we all think we do in what happens behind closed doors
That podcast is a strange one. I like it but McCarthy and Pulis do get on my nerves a bit when they talk about "how much better it was in my day", "and they call us dinosaurs", "x, y and z aren't football people". It's a good podcast though IMO.
