This is my thinking. I have seen plenty of Social media posts from supposed Toon fans saying they would not mind losing if it meant Spurs go down, but surely they cant be TRUE Toon supporters. I am sure a true fan of their club would want their team to try and finish above their bitter rivals rather than be bothered about a team nearly 300 miles away.

Besides, they tend to do well against us these days, it feels like of late they tend to take 4pts or 6pts off us
 
It really doesn't matter what the fans want, it's what the players go out and do. There was plenty who wanted us to lose to the Goons, but once the players were giving it a good go everyone got into it and wanted us to win.

It will come down to whether the players actually perform like they can or if they continue their poor form....

I agree but it's a sad condemnation of the players and game in general that the results depend on how the collective players feel. Do they only get 50% of their salary if they can't be arsed?
