The Official 2023/24 Premier League Thread

That disallowed goal could be important. Quite possible villa taje 3 more points with a game lost against Brighton after playing in europe. Another lost against pool is it and winning their final game. With us possibly taking 9 points and 3 wins, they’d get 4th by a point?

You could make a case for Villa not to win any of their last 3 games, or maybe getting one point.

But on current form I would not back us to pick up 8 more points.

That result must give the club a boost, I really really hope we can use it to go and get a win tomorrow. IF, we could pick up 5pts from the next 3, we could have a hell of chance of nicking 4th, but we have to play better

Hoddle's a bit dense isn't he? Debating whether he thinks it's a foul or not, it's irrelevant. It's not a clear or obvious foul, so the original call should not be changed at all. Simpleton

Not because of that. Barging into the back of someone has always been a FK. If that goal was given against us, you'd be livid. And don't even bother saying otherwise, because it's the truth.
But in other instances, you are right.
Barging? He barely touched him, look at Carlos' reaction or lack thereof.. Even he didn't think it was a foul and he was the one being 'barged'

It's a foul. Ref missed it, VAR told him to have another look, he did, and saw it was a FK and correctly gave it. That's VAR working perfectly! Not someone on the screen making the decision. They left it to the on field ref.

That's not how it works and you know it, when they tell them to go to the screen it's decision made for them. You've heard the audio ffs. Stop being disingenuous.

You think that's a foul anywhere on the pitch, every time? It's just not, in no world.. It's not clear and obvious, I'm sorry, but you're wrong.

I'm wrong? What was the decision again? So, ref, VAR ref, assistant VAR ref, me (also a ref) and the majority of other people watching it are wrong, and you're right.

Got it!
You are a really weird one!
