If you could end the season today, would you take a sixth place finish knowing both Wet Spam and Chelski would be relegated?
I would be very tempted.
Yes

I’d take 17th on goal difference, or losing on purpose to the team that finishes 17th by the exact score that led to the other two being relegatedIf you could end the season today, would you take a sixth place finish knowing both Wet Spam and Chelski would be relegated?

Some Leicester level luck for Manure in that game. In no way was that anywhere near a 4-0 game.
VAR goal reversal against Wolves was a joke.
Something like that.
The rule is clear, and goal coming from a hand being involved (accidental or not) is chalked off.
No chance. It’s about what we achieve, not what they do. I hate Chelsea. West Ham have no relevance to me. And I’d much prefer us to be successful than worry about any other club.

It's easy to be a nice guy when you're a brick footballer lucky to earn anything at all.Carl Jenkinson proves class is permanent in the grubbiest of transfer windows
Several other players showed little respect for their employers as they aimed to force through moves elsewhere
By Andy Dunn
After one of the grubbiest transfer windows in recent memory, thank goodness for Carl Jenkinson .
Jenkinson was one of the multitudes to move this summer, switching from Arsenal to Nottingham Forest.
In his case, there were no back spasms, no hissy-fits, no sickies, no briefings, no posturing, no moodiness, no wrangling over cash, no petty jibes.
Just an acceptance that the current Arsenal manager does not consider him up to the required standard and it is time to move on.
Farewell messages have long been fashionable in football but Jenkinson’s could have bought a tear to a glass eye.
“I can’t really put into words what it has meant to me to play for this club but what I can say is I have truly lived my dream,” he wrote.
“I have played 70 games for Arsenal which, if you told me I would do as a kid, I would have laughed at you.”
Meanwhile, Laurent Koscielny was smugly ripping off the noble Arsenal jersey to show off his new Bordeaux shirt.
The same Koscielny who refused to go on a pre-season tour with the club that has paid him tens of millions over the last decade.
The same Koscielny who was once captain of a great institution.
Koscielny played over top Gun 250 Premier League games for Arsenal and will not be remembered with a scintilla of affection.
Classless.
When explaining why he wanted France to lose at the World Cup because he was injured and unavailable, Koscielny said: “I have a selfish side.”
No kidding, mate.
He is not alone, by any means. Remember Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having to demean himself and his club by claiming Romelu Lukaku was not featuring in pre-season because he had a ‘niggle’?
Why not just tell the truth? He wants out, we want him out, we’re not going to risk him getting injured.
A niggle? A bit like those back spasms Philippe Coutinho suffered before heading to Barcelona.
This is the same Lukaku who kicked off ahead of his move away from Everton. The same Lukaku who was training at Anderlecht while still under contract at Old Trafford.
And while he might be an all-round decent fella and world class defender, let’s not forget the image of Virgil van Dijk sulking on a private jet because he could not get his move to Liverpool when he wanted.
Even the estimable Harry Maguire ended up throwing a sickie at Leicester as his move to Manchester United grew more protracted.
David Luiz appears to have sulked behind the scenes to get his latest money-earning switch and Wilfried Zaha was said to be furious with Crystal Palace for demanding too much money to release him from a £130,000 a week contract that HE signed one year ago.
When you put pen to paper on a five-year contract with no release clause and worth a minimum of £35million, what did you expect Wilf?
Palace to send you away with a peck on the cheek and all their best wishes because you fancy a move 12 months later?
The gall and arrogant entitlement of so many players is thoroughly disheartening.
Which is why footballers such as Jenkinson - and not Koscielny - should be cherished.
“… now, I’ll take my seat back in the stand, as a fan, with the rest of you,” were Jenkinson’s final words to Arsenal supporters.
Top man. If only there were more like him.
I think Dunn is a complete fudging hypocrite, considering how much he (and his type) clearly revel in all these soap opera dramatics.
But.... I think the message here is a good one and worthy of sharing.
Arsenal look very predictable hoofing forward
