Redknapp and Souness were totally ridiculous is their so called pundrity, slating for Saudi Sportswashing Machine for playing with what they have got resource wise

They havent got £150m to just go and spend like Chelsea, they are a pair of plums

I think they should have tried to attack more though. The one time they actually got forward and a cross from a dangerous position, they scored. Chelsea don't look all that good at the back in any of their games so far, but nobody has punished them for it yet.

I think clubs like Bournemouth ascend previously Swansea show that it's possible to build a fairly successful team on limited resources playing a more ambitious style. To some extent it's a fair criticism of Benitez if one cares about the style of football being played. But in terms of results you can't argue with Benitez and Saudi Sportswashing Machine are incredibly lucky to have him.

What Benitez shouldn't do is change his style to "have a go" or think that "they'll probably lose anyway". Both a deep, park the bus kind of approach and a higher pressing more risk on the ball approach takes time and planning to implement. Bournemouth have been signing suitable players and worked on their style over years, as has Benitez. Changing things quickly to see if something could work out is a bad idea.

Can Leicester do something here? Would love them to get a result, even turn these fudges over. Interesting to see how Maddison goes.

Why are you torturing yourselves with this when there's a South Korea vs Japan U23 match on?
