Was that the leg breaker tackle? Disgraceful tackle which should have been a red.Norwood 's tackle on Skipp is a good example of a foul even though he took the ball.

But that was way worse than Kompany’s, that was studs up shin high with intent.Norwood 's tackle on Skipp is a good example of a foul even though he took the ball.
Awful tackle by Norwood, but not sure about the intent. Which one’s worse is not relevant. Both were bad tackles worthy of yellows, where the ball was played first. Your post suggested if the ball is taken first it should not be a foul. But that was way worse than Kompany’s, that was studs up shin high with intent.
I made a rare foray into twitter and asked for you!Just quoting this again as it got lost among the 20 odd pages of the unofficial Liverpool Match Thread...
The bottom table in that link has us down as sitting on a cash balance of 170m +/- (calculated over the past ten years accounts) but with the caveat that it's skewed by mostly being made up of cash advances on our recent loans for the stadium... Is there anywhere that would show how much (ballpark) of that balance is from loans rather than a general accumulation of profit over the years, or does anyone have an idea of what that figure would be?
Exciting stuff for a Friday morning im sure you'll agree
Both should have been red cards IMOAwful tackle by Norwood, but not sure about the intent. Which one’s worse is not relevant. Both were bad tackles worthy of yellows, where the ball was played first. Your post suggested if the ball is taken first it should not be a foul.
Kompany left the ground with two feet studs up. Salah jumped otherwise that was a potential leg breaker. Kompany comes across as a nice bloke so gets away with reckless challenges too often - just ask Aaron Lennon.
No such thing as a foul on SalahBoth should have been red cards IMO
Is that tackle from the Tranmere keeper on Moura ok? Seemed pretty similar to the Konpany challenge but everyone’s saying this is fine?
Why do they all look like extras from the hobbit
So should Lovrens on AgueroBoth should have been red cards IMO
Yes, but it wasn't dangerous play. Just cynical.Do should Lovrens on Aguero
That one seems to be forgotten but that was the most intentional foul of the lot
Spurs made a small profit and thus paid a bit of tax... most clubs don't, they reinvest and spend spend spend rather than paying tax.Just quoting this again as it got lost among the 20 odd pages of the unofficial Liverpool Match Thread...

From the laws of the game: "Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force or endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play."
Nothing in there about winning the ball.

I must say, i was impressed with Liverpool's play during their big clash with City last week. Their midfield and full-backs remind me on us at our best two seasons ago...if we finish above them again this season i think that would be a GREAT reflection of our squad and Poch's management of it through the PL season..
So, Wolves have beaten Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool(FA Cup) and drew with Arsenal, ManCity and ManU this season. Wolves have been real spoilers this season. And they will face ManCity away next.
