The Official 2017/18 Premier League Thread

Penalty for me. Chambers could put his hands behind his back like many defenders in the box do. If your hands are up and the ball hits it, you are fair game tbh. Don't let L'Arse showing their usual victim mentality confuse the issue.

Also, i'd have thought moving yr arms towards the ball narrows the angle and thus gives the defender an advantage. doesnt matter if the arms are in front of his body. If he'd moved his arms inwards towards his gonads I'd have said harsh, but here Dean got it right

video can be used for line calls only imo so offsides and goal line as their black and white calls

Everything else is subject to opinion and has to be subject to human intervention and sometimes error
Slow motion and more/better angles will reduce that chance of error.

Utd and Arsenal dropping points...Utd away to Everton next, Liverpool at Burnley and the goons host Chelsea. So we should gain more ground if we continue our run. We'll be close to 2nd by the end of Jan I think, if not outright 2nd.

It would be interesting (and impossible) to see how many we have benefited from and been a victim of major decision wise - I feel like we have had the rub of the green more than poor decisions.

Well we would be 2 points better off straight away with the penalty we should have had vs Swansea

Instinctive movement of the arm towards the ball, IMO, which I don't think was so in Okazaki's case. Possibly a bit harsh, but I've seen them given (today, for instance :)) and it's only the Arse.

Same old Arsenal
Always bleating

Doubt there's little sympathy for the Popguns up Burnley way where charitable late calls have gifted them wins there recently.

I can think of three times in the past season and a bit when an Arsenal player has bundled in a goal for his arm for a winner/match changing goal.

They have absolutely no grounds to moan about bad decisions.
