The "Official" 2013/14 Other teams matches thread

Now here's a funny thing...

A win tomorrow at Goodison Park (difficult, but not beyond the realms of possibility) would see Spurs in second place in the Premier League Table, two points clear of both Chelsea & Liverpool.

And Spurs would be 8 points better-off than the identical matches played last season.

Makes you wonder what would happen when we start to play good football.

7 points better off. But who's counting?

This happened in the 92nd minute. Nothing given.

it's so hypocritical.

if a Liverpool player was down, Arsenal would have attacked, no doubt. It's a pathetic rule that you have to kick it out. Gibbs wasn't on the floor crying for the physio, he signalled with his hand and sat on the floor, I mean if he really wanted to I have no doubt he could have got off the pitch. I mean maybe that's what we should do? If we go 0-1 up tomorrow, just pretend we're injured every dangerous attack so Everton kick the ball out.

You don't, mate. No such rule at all.

It's at the ref's discretion, not the opposing team's.

Love the sound of that statto. Unfortunately, my Tottenham supporting life has been full of "If only we..." moments.
It's the table at the end of the season that matters most, but it is nice to be up there.

I seem to remember a lot of complaining about Bale getting us out of jail and papering over the cracks.

Hell yeah, there were plenty of games where we looked clueless, compressed into the middle with no width, fannying about with hardly any efforts on target, and then Bale would WHOOP one into the corner in stoppage time.

In some games under Harry it was end to end and we played brilliantly and it was great. In other games under Harry we were set up wrong, no gameplan, no width, nothing good going on at all, really hopeless.

So the idea that things were better under Harry isn't true. Sometimes they were, sometimes they weren't.

But it would be nice to see our front 4 or 5 players popping it around and making some insightful flowing moves, rather than the stunted moves we're seeing.

I'd rather we were boring and won 1-0 than have the opposition GK play the game of his life and they sneak a winner in the 90th minute. Once we've made it a habit to win the league I might change my mind.

AC Milan 0-2 Fiorentina FT
Shots (OT) 18(1) - 4(2)

Milan languishing in mid-table with 12 points from 11 games.

No, it's 7. Cardiff for Wigan, Hull for Reading and Crystal Palace for QPR.

 not this again, comparing this season with last season on an individual game by game basis

please can we stop...its futile. I mean look at the above, how can you compare those matches and the results? how?

Fiorentina are good. Bought well in the summer, and play terrific football. Im not surprised they won. Milan have problems and the manager is still lucky to be i the job
