Great to see the youngsters who have been on the bench for the last few games without getting on, joining in on the celebrations and Gollini looks more excited than anyone that we are in the CL next year!
Forget about finishing above Arsenal, who are quite frankly average and I never understood why people on here were hyping them up when they'd do their usual flat track bully thing for a few games. Finishing just three points behind Chelsea, when we were ten points behind when Conte took over plus they went on to beat us at their place a couple of months after Conte took over and looked in a different league to us is the real achievement - and it is their position that we should be targeting next year at the very least....
Done. Please, PLEASE BACK THIS MAN AND TAKE IT TO 'EM!!
There's always other jobs.
Shame for him that he won't experience it. Don't think we'll keep him. We certainly shouldn't.Gollini looks more excited than anyone that we are in the CL next year!
Nothing in the press about them bottling it either, no shock there reallyI get your overall point about looking towards Chelsea and above but we have to remember the fact that they (Arsenal) were 4 points ahead of us with 3 games left so naturally we had to focus on them. We did well but make no mistake Arsenal crumbled/bottled it. Imagine how we would evaluate ourselves if we'd gone all 'Arsenal-y'?
I think our form in the last 3 months would target City and Pool, moreso than Chelsea. That same form would have us finishing on 87 points, just a couple of wins off the top spot.Forget about finishing above Arsenal, who are quite frankly average and I never understood why people on here were hyping them up when they'd do their usual flat track bully thing for a few games. Indeed. The problem is all those other clubs who just roll over against the top 2. I mean, we were responsible for TWO THIRDS of Emirates Marketing Project's league losses this season!I think our form in the last 3 months would target City and Pool, moreso than Chelsea. TBH next season I'm not so worried about our games against City, Pool, Woolwich, etc. I'm more concerned about the Brighton/Wolves/Brentford/Burnley type games. If we can find way to win against park-the-bus sides, we may be in the thick of it for a title challenge.
Having Kane in the right mind set and Kulusevski both from the start of the season could help substantially close the goals for and in turn goal difference numbers there
Add in more goal return from specialist WB signings then suddenly you can see that 30 goals difference shorten (Kane and Kulu +15-20 goals, WBs +5-10?)

Would like a cm that can score some. Not really an am, but just add a few each season.
I'm not sure if Conte's teams tend to have goal scoring midfielders?

Brilliant video for a brilliant season.
What a season. Reminded me of the Redknapp one when we clinched top 4 against City with the Crouch winner. Full of ups and downs but in the end it feels like something big is happening under Conte.
