Indeed…. At the moment I would rather be in Arsenal’s position in the league than ours. Hopefully at the end of the season our positions will reverse but they are in the driver’s seat at present as the odds clearly suggest.
 
The point is there are only two teams capable of going on a real sustained run - Emirates Marketing Project and Liverpool. Arsenal have been on a good run, but they aren’t good enough to sustain that for the rest of the season - funnily enough at a time when they still have more ‘tough’ games to play than we do. If we beat Arsenal at home which we tend to do, we would be level on points with them as things stand, albeit Arsenal have a game in hand. But they have tougher fixtures, at best they can be seen as marginal favourites but there really isn’t much in it…..

Arsenals sustained run could start to unravel, then the king of unsustained runs will have to go on a .....sustained run, to capitalise on the new unsustained run the Arsenal have embarked on, otherwise whether Arsenal are sustaining or unsustaining a run is irrelevant.

That’s the point though, all of Arsenal/Spurs/Man U have had a decent run followed by a pretty poor one. With us having got the remainder of ‘tougher’ games out of the way whilst being on a pretty poor period and Arsenal still to play a lot of theirs it’s not a stretch to see us going on a run as we are due , and Arsenal have a drop as they are not good enough to sustain for another ten games….

:D...I was only joking.... none of us have a clue, it's all conjecture and am somewhat surprised at the elongated to and fro over the last couple of pages.
 
I didn't realise but in 2022 points won in the prem.

Spurs 22 pld 13
Arsenal 18 pld 10
Man Utd 19 pld 11

We played more games but still. Only liverpool have got more points than us this year.

a key number missing is total number of games played in the same period too
We know we have had a lot more games than some teams which has shown in results
