That's the thing - I agree with you in principle Germany shouldn't have a penalty today, but you have to judge it in the context of other situations where a penalty is given. The Denmark incident is obviously relevant in that regard, as it happened in the same tournament. Overcomplicated rules and lack of consistency is the problem here.

I think the one in the Denmark - Germany game was over-analysed in slowmo and stills by VAR, and was given simply because of the position of the arm. But viewed in normal speed, it's a perfectly natural place to have you arm when you are running.

Definitely, this whole "natural position" definition is useless in those situations. When you are moving quickly, throwing yourself into situations to block/fetch the ball, a natural arm position could be basically anywhere (within reason). It will also differ from player to player.
